Week of April 22 and an Astology lesson

The week of April 22
The Moon goes into Cancer early morning of April 23, creating a nice relationship with the sun in Taurus, giving Cancer and Taurus people the opportunity to cooperate beautifully. The other water signs of Scorpio and Pisces; and the other earth signs of Virgo and Capricorn are also in a good relationship, indicating good two days of relative ease. With the Moon in her own sign of Cancer, the emotions are good and the desire is to nurture of help others.
The Moon goes into Leo on April 25, then creating a quarter Moon, or a square between the Sun and Moon. This means challenging tension between the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. These signs are stubborn and can be immobile in what they consider their important issues. The fire sign friends of Leo, Aries and Sagittarius can help with creative solutions. The earth-sign friends of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, can help with practical solutions.
The major challenge from Uranus and Pluto is waning, with Mars in Taurus in a beautiful relationship with Pluto in Capricorn. This should indicate Taurus' and Capricorn's projects and relationships should be harmonious, with Virgo sharing in the benefits and offering needed details.
There is a lot of solar and electro-magnetic energy flowing from the Sun to the earth, stimulating all life. Taurus is especially stimulated, with the Sun, Mercury and Mars in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is deliberate in making decisions and choosing to act, but when stimulated are focused and persistent (stubborn) to achieve practical goals. Jupiter is in the sign of Leo, indicating temporary stress for Leos because of extravagant spending desires challenged by practical necessities.
Aquarius is challenged to restrain spending or ideas too far in the future for group or benevolent activities, and Scorpio could have financial control issues within relationships.
Virgo and Capricorn enjoy good dealings regarding practical projects and finances. Cancer and Pisces have opportunities to bring their financial houses in order and to cooperate with financial advisers and those who help with practical affairs.
Gemini is somewhat neutral except that Venus is in Gemini, offering the opportunity for diplomatic solutions seemingly light-hearted, but effective. Aries is somewhat neutral, too, except that Uranus is in the sign of Aries, stimulating them to instigate or stimulate change that seems to be unexpected. You will notice this if you have a 16 or 17 degree planet in your chart.  Libra and Sagittarius adjust to what may seem a dull social time.

lessonPersonal transit experience,
an astrology lesson.
My chart has the ascendent at 14 degrees, Uranus at 16 degrees and Saturn at 16 degrees. Those of you who have had your personal reading know that the experiences of a transit can be the day before, the day of or the day after the exact date of a transit. When your progressed Moon has a direct focus date, the energy can be in effect for a week with that date in the middle. The eclipse on April 4 was in the same degree as my ascendent, and was within two degrees of two natal planets at 16 degrees, with transiting Uranus (in the sky) at the 16-degree point. Thursday, Pluto went retrograde at 15 degrees Capricorn within one degree of the 14-degree point. Transiting Uranus was exactly conjunct (next to) my natal Saturn. On Thursday, we had a thunderstorm with a lightening strike right above the house, knocking out the electricity for a few seconds.
Here is the astrology lesson: Uranus represents electricity, which is relevant to this discussion. My natal Saturn lives in the fifth house of my chart; the fifth house representing children, boyfriends, sports and can represent gambling or risk. None of these were touched off. Saturn rules the third house of my chart because Capricorn is on that cusp. The third house represents everyday running around, communication, transportation (cars?), your next-door-neighbors and your oldest sibling. That is what got activated.

The plan for the day was grocery shopping. Well, the car would not start; it just "clicked." I called the dealer because several lights came on, and the technician said it is probably the seven-year old battery. My car is a Mini Cooper and does not take an ordinary battery. It was a good thing I called the dealer, which is an hour-and-a-half away, because the technician told me the battery has to be calibrated to the engine or the electricity in the car would not work. So, I called around and found a local mechanic who knew what I was talking about, works on BMW's and Mini's and could do the work. Then my next-door-neighbor's boyfriend arrived and he jump started the car and we let it run for a half hour to charge the battery.
The next phase was getting the car to the mechanic, which meant coordinating with my next-door neighbor. Lo and behold! Her car would not start, either - another battery problem. So her boyfriend jump-started her car, too. We made arrangements to drop both cars off on Monday, each to a different place. Tuesday morning meant coordinating again to retrieve the cars, which we did with no trouble.
The astrology lesson is that when your natal planet is activated by a transit, the energy can be experienced in the area your natal planet rules, not necessarily the house it is in. Instead of any fifth-house activity in the above story, the activity was all third house: everyday running around, next-door neighbor, and the electricity of Uranus being car batteries. Uranus usually creates change by cutting things loose, but in this case, it kept me home, but did change plans.

Total eclipse Saturday 4 April 2015

From NASA: On Saturday morning, April 4th, sky watchers in the USA can see a brief but beautiful total eclipse of the Moon on Saturday 4 April 2015 at 8:04:35 AM EDT

This follows the series of strong CME’s, the auroral chorus, geomagnetic storms, first day of spring with many planets in Aries, the new Moon eclipse of 20 March and finishes the series of challenges that began in 2011 when transiting Uranus went into the sign of Aries, the beginning of the Arab Spring. This eclipse should be noticed with a lot of news and possible earthquakes. That it is the weekend of Passover and Easter adds to the drama.

You have read numerous times how Uranus and Pluto have been in a challenging, stressful square with each other and this eclipse sets off a T-square with them. The degrees are: Moon and Sun at 14 degrees, Pluto at 15 degrees and Uranus at 16 degrees, which is within one degree of stress with Pluto. The Moon will reach the 15-degree square with Pluto at 10:16:35 AM and will reach the 16-degree opposition with Uranus at 11:58:35 AM. See the horoscope wheel for a visual.

The Moon will be opposite the Sun and then Uranus, indicating relationship problems. The revolutionary, warlike or aggressive ones do not want to cooperate and are pushing their agenda as far as they can. With other planets in Aries, the communication is incendiary and non-cooperative. Sitting in between (and the apex of the t-square) is the established power ineffectively trying to balance the war-like attitude with diplomacy.

Of course, you want to know what this means to you. To repeat the refrain of the year, if you have a planet, your ascendent or midheaven at 14, 15 or 16 degrees, expect it to be triggered. The signs especially spotlighted are the active, initiatory signs of Aries, Libra and Capricorn, followed by Cancer. If you are one of these signs, expect to be busy, indeed, either impulsively doing things or experiencing others impulsively challenging you.

The signs of Leo and Sagittarius get along with the Aries planets and can offer creative solutions. The signs of Gemini and Aquarius get along with Libra and can offer diplomatic group solutions. The signs of Taurus and Virgo get along with Capricorn and can offer common-sense financial solutions, complete with detail. The sign of Scorpio needs to - ouch! - adjust to the impulsive activity, but can hold your ground to steady the situation.

With Jupiter in Leo, Leo people can help expand the outlook.  Sagittarius is somewhat grounded with Saturn in Sagittarius and can help anchor creativity. Mars is squashed in the sign of Taurus but can quietly help steady situations. Venus is in its own sign of Taurus, and can quietly calm others and offer comfort. Neptune is all alone in its own sign of Pisces, not interacting, which means no confusion, but no insight either.
