Mercury goes direct November 10, 2013

at 11:51 p.m., which is almost November 11. It went retrograde October 21.

Mercury was nice and calm until the Scorpio new Moon, or solar, eclipse on Sunday, November 3rd. Since then it has been playing tricks like it usually does. If you have seen Mercury in its natural state, it is a silvery liquid that when you touch it or try to pick it up, it multiplies into different parts and rolls away. This can give you a little insight into your Gemini friends.  I was surprised at how calm it was until the eclipse.

The eclipse meant the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Saturn were all in the sign of Scorpio, and were in a harmonious relationship with Mars in Virgo and Jupiter in Cancer. Scorpio is persistent and finishes what it starts. Virgo is fussy and precise and Cancer is family oriented. Well, Mercury has been persistent in causing glitches on my computer, although the printers are okay. The computer decided to change the letter of the hard drive where my documents are saved, requiring me to change the default settings of all the programs. When I send documents to others, they are converted to the Adobe .pdf format. One document would only convert one page. After an irritating hour, I finally hit the help button. Lo and behold! All by itself the program decided to change the settings to only convert one page and I had to change the settings back to converting the entire document. None of this had happened in previous retrograde Mercury times, usually it was the printer that acted up.

Taurus is experiencing attention to relationships with the opportunity to save money and have good family situations. Scorpio may be a driving force demanding others account – in detail. Leo and Aquarius would be pressed to account for expenses, and perhaps think others are trying to control them. Gemini and Sagittarius could be irritated at having to account for expenses, but the Scorpio planets indicate they have an opportunity to make it right. Cancer would have the easiest of it because the planets in this eclipse situation are compatible. Pisces may believe they are being picked on to produce dreaded detail, but the planets are easy on them, too, and Pisces can do it with a little support. Libra is truly neutral because they are in between Mars and the Scorpio planets. Aries has a very irritating time adjusting to the shifts in activity because of possible family challenges. Virgo has the opportunity to cooperate with the manager, harmoniously providing details to keep the project within budget. Capricorn is compatible with both the Scorpio planets and Mars in Virgo and can provide quiet leadership or common-sense advice, but may have a challenging relationship with someone who wants to expand or spend too much money.

September 2013 mundane forecast

Following is the mundane or general astrological forecast for September. Your personal forecast is experienced within the mundane planetary activity. To receive your confidential, accurate forecast, please contact Patty.

9/20 and 9/21. 9/20 Pluto goes direct at 9 degrees of Capricorn, the last of the hits to the nine and ten degree points in your chart that have been talked about for a long time now.

September 1 opens the month with apparent smooth display of power. This is quickly challenged and uneasy. The Moon goes into Leo today.

2 September, but in effect between the 1st and the 4th, the uneasiness begins. Leo and Pisces are off balance in general and with each other. Leo because of situations being too vague, Pisces because of uneasiness with too much power. Leo energy in power is trying to push idealistic persons to his or her point of view, and is being passively resisted.

3 September reveals more uneasiness and adjustments, with the influence beginning on the 2nd and going through the 4th. The one in authority is urging the innovate one for details, which irritates the innovator. Relations between the practical person and the one who instigates change is not good.

4 September the Moon goes into Virgo.

The new Moon in Virgo is on 5 September at 13 degrees. This is the time for Virgo to stop procrastinating that project and get started. With Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter in compatible signs, this should be a good month for Virgo projects if Virgo will actually get started. Taurus and Capricorn enjoy good work projects with the details available. Cancer and Scorpio have the opportunity to pay attention to detail to further interests. Pisces may sigh with irritation because details have been asked for, and just may disappear from the scene. Gemini and Sagittarius may also become irritated with requests for details which is not to their liking and this time they cannot fob it off to another. Leo and Libra are neutral; Aquarius and Aries adjust to what they consider undue attention to detail and may be irritable.

6 September the Moon goes into Libra.

7 September: There is opportunity for good expansion with practical project and family matters between 6 and 8 September, exact on the 7th. The opportunity comes from one in authority who is interested in practical details (this is Virgo time) for a sensible, but happy family gathering. If finances are involved, this is a good time to compare the actual with the desired. The Moon reveals an up-and-down day, with opportunities for good projects, resistance and then someone not showing up.

8 September the Moon goes into Scorpio.

9 September: Control issues abound between the 6th and 10th of September, exact on the 9th.  Leo and Scorpio are arguing over money, Taurus could become involved to explain the checkbook, and Aquarius gets drawn in to settle personnel situations. Projects for Leo can be frustratingly slowed down because of money. Leo, do not push too hard or you will experience much resistance. Get your expense account in order and try not to spend too much, or have good justification for extravagance.

9 September: Mercury goes into the sign of Libra. This is the month for Libra to present ideas and make plans; Gemini and Aquarius benefit from good communication; Aries could surprisingly experience a normally diplomatic person being actually blunt in speech; Leo and Sagittarius have the opportunity to be engaged in stimulating conversation; Cancer and Capricorn enjoy challenging conversations; Virgo and Scorpio are neutral; Pisces and Taurus adjust to the normally soft-spoken one being bossy.

9 September through the 21st. Saturn and Pluto are getting along, revealing the opportunity for improved finances if the opportunity is taken to re-organize money. The exact date is 21 September, with this opportunity beginning 9 September and continuing until the end of the month. This is the end of a cycle where Saturn is in sextile or opportunity with Pluto. Previous dates were 12/26/2012 and 3/8/2013, meaning 9/21 should be the opportunity to complete the series of opportunities for financial re-construction, especially for Capricorn and Scorpio. The opportunity for world-wide financial reconstruction and transformation is possible, but the money situation most likely will be lessened or scaled down from previous years of extravagance. Saturn restricts, Pluto transforms; and each planet is in the sign of the other, indicting this financial reconstruction, especially within established financial firms.

September 11, but noticeable between the 9th and the 12th, is very uneasy. War talk abounds, possibly with the Leo leader stubbornly pushing the well-established ones. Leo is the one who needs to adjust, not the one pushing because the pushee is stronger. Personally, Leo and Capricorn are very uneasy and uncomfortable with each other because Leo may be trying to force a situation that Capricorn will quietly, and effectively resist. Diplomacy is not too effective because the details of persuasion are not understood by the idealist.

September 11: Venus goes into Scorpio, and your loved one may be more intensely loving, especially if that person is a Scorpio. Taurus can have control issues, though, along with Leo and Aquarius. Cancer and Pisces enjoy close, loving relationships and good finances; Capricorn and Virgo have the opportunity for loving relationships if they will stop working so hard. Gemini adjusts to not-too-liked intensity, and Aries adjusts to paying more attention to their partner. Libra and Sagittarius are neutral.

12 September: The quarter Moon is in the signs of Sagittarius and Virgo, who could be irritated with each other today; Pisces and Gemini are flighty today, too. Libra can help smooth things over, with Capricorn applying quiet common sense and calm.

13 September the Moon goes into Capricorn.

September 14: actually between the 13th and the 16th, is harmonious. The frustration of the 9th now changes to acceptance and implementation of changes, either with the group or technical innovations. Leo can work well with Aries by managing Aries innovative ideas. The other fire sign, Sagittarius, enjoys a few days of accomplishment.  Artistic endeavor is favored on the 14th also. This could mean activity with art, music, movies or an escape or vacation. The water signs are favored for these endeavors, especially Scorpio and Pisces, who may present the situation, with Cancer being invited. However, there is tense communication today that could be about trying to achieve peace. The weaker one is challenging the stronger one and it could be a stand-off. Libra and Capricorn are especially challenging and challenged, followed by Cancer and Aries.

15 September the Moon goes into Aquarius.

16 September. Challenging communications, with the detail person challenging he idealistic one and it could be unsatisfactory. Virgo and Pisces are not happy with each other, with Gemini and Sagittarius arguing or adding to the irritation.

17 September, but in effect between the 16th and the 18th: opportunity for good communications for diplomacy and to resolve problems. Libra is the diplomat, giving the strong dictator-type one the opportunity for harmony. Today could be a good day for a verbal presentation followed by a social event. However the Sun and Moon are at odds today, so expect a day of interruptions with the need to adjust, especially for Virgo and Aquarius.

17 September: the Moon goes into Pisces and conjuncts Pisces patron planet, Neptune. A dreamy day, indeed and a good day for the water signs of Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio to relax and escape from work. Gemini and Sagittarius may be irritable; Leo and Libra adjust to people not being available; Taurus and Capricorn have the opportunity to give their common sense solution to creative ideas; Aquarius and Aries are neutral. Virgo would do well to take a day off work because others are too vague to their liking.

18 September: a day of hard work to be enjoyed by Scorpio, especially regarding re-financing or establishing a new financial plan. Money may seem tight, but is to bring your attention to financial planning. Focused attention on the basics creates the opportunity for stable and secure finances. Taurus may experience control issues around the checkbook and the portfolio; Leo and Aquarius may experience demands for financial accounting of expenses; Virgo and Capricorn have the opportunity to improve money; Cancer and Pisces can have a quietly good financial day; Gemini and Aries adjust to intense questioning of finances. Libra and Sagittarius are neutral. The Moon indicates today is smooth.

19 September; challenging day. Challenging communication between Libra and Cancer or about expensive events, with Capricorn and Aries also enjoying the challenge. Communication is an over-reaction, so don’t get drawn into a dramatic outburst. In addition, the full moon is in the signs of Pisces and Virgo, who are irritated with each other, drawing in Gemini and Sagittarius. The areas of the body indicated with this full Moon are the eyes & feet, and the upper intestines. What seems like upset stomach is really the upper intestine or duodenal acting up. Also today the Moon goes into Aries.

20 September: the opportunity of the 18th gets adjusted today because of mild changes, perhaps because of technology. There could be mild tension between Scorpio and Aries, but only if neither bends a little.

20 September: Pluto goes direct at 8 degrees Capricorn 59 minutes, basically 9 degrees of Capricorn. Pluto and Uranus will each be at 8 and 9 degrees between the middle of October and middle of November. This means they will be in the long-time antagonizing square of revolution. This cycle began in 2012 with exact focus dates of: 6/24 and 9/19 in 2012; 5/20 and coming 11/1 in 2013; 4/21 and 12/15 in 2014. To read the full interpretation please click here.

21 September: the Moon goes into Taurus.

22 September: the Sun goes into Libra and dips below the equator, signaling fall for the northern hemisphere and spring in the southern hemisphere. This is the month for Libra to shine and be more assertive, and to challenge their Aries partner to participate in social life, express graciousness. Cancer and Capricorn enjoy a challenging or socially active month. Gemini and Aquarius enjoy a month of social events and good communication; Virgo and Scorpio are neutral; Pisces and Taurus adjust to the flurry of social activity. Leo and Sagittarius have the opportunity for dramatic social events and diplomatic travel.

24 September: the Moon goes into Gemini.

25 September, but in effect between the 24 and the 26th, vague dissatisfaction with diplomatic attempts, because of confusion and misunderstanding; especially between Libra and Pisces. Let any decisions wait because things are not clear.

26 September: a calm, harmonious day with good relationships. Scorpio and Cancer are especially favored, followed by Pisces. Real estate values could have a small increase to favor the water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, but also for the earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. The Moon goes into Cancer, creating the quarter Moon in the signs of Cancer and Libra, revealing challenging emotions between them, including Aries and Capricorn. The day could be full of welcome changes.

28 September, but in effect between the 26th and the 30th: tension between men and women, including sexual tension, which means intensity. There are control issues between Scorpio and Leo that can include Taurus and Aquarius.

29 September, Mercury goes into normally reticent Scorpio, stimulating them into communication. This is a good month for Scorpio to present plans and is a good financial planning month. Taurus could have resistance to their stubbornness; Leo and Aquarius are challenged to account for expenditures; Cancer and Pisces experience good communication especially about money; Virgo and Capricorn have the opportunity to bring practical application to their plans; Aries and Gemini adjust to a sharp focus on finances. Libra and Sagittarius are neutral.

New Moon, Jupiter and Pluto August 6.

The new Moon is at 14 degrees of Leo at about 6 p.m. Eastern Time on August 6, 2013. This is a good time for Leo to put into action long-awaited plans. Aries is helpful in treading the unknown for you, and Sagittarius can help you be somewhat light-hearted and successfully advertise for you. Scorpio and Taurus may try to reign in expenses, resulting in control issues. Aquarius may resist being controlled; give them management of the group. Cancer and Virgo are neutral for the new Moon itself. Capricorn and Pisces adjust to the social events and could be grouchy. Gemini and Libra help communicate your idea diplomatically.

The planets Jupiter and Pluto are opposite each other, indicating opposition, unrest and maybe earth changes. This opposition crosses the first and seventh houses of the United States, indicating – at the very least – tension with our enemies. There could be opposition from or about the other Cancer countries of Holland,  Paraguay, Scotland, and New Zealand, with the opposition also involving the Capricorn countries of Bulgaria, Mexico, UK, Albania, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Lithuania, India. The degrees of the opposition do not directly hit any degrees of the United States chart. The new Moon is in harmonious relationship with the rising sign and Saturn of the United States, so if there is tension, it should be resolved.

Personally, the opposition between Jupiter and Pluto is at 9 degrees, only one degree away from the 10 degrees we’ve been astrologically writing about for months now. Jupiter will be at 10 degrees of Cancer from August 9 through August 14. Even though Jupiter is exalted, meaning it works at its best, in the sign of Cancer, it will set off any planets at 10 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. These points were set off by Pluto the end of January and most of February, again most of the month of June and early July this year; and they were set off also by Uranus from the end of April through the middle of May this year. This means these planets are at odds with each other in explosive relationships. As you are very well aware, the world is going through great change. If you have a 10 degree planet in the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn you are going through enough change to call it an initiation.

To give you some good news, transiting Saturn was at 10 degrees of Scorpio the middle of January, the last two weeks of March and first few days of April and will repeat in October of this year. There are opportunities for a settling down after the upheaval if you have any planets at 10 degrees of Virgo or Capricorn. Planets at 10 degrees of Cancer and Pisces should indicate you are somehow experiencing being at the right place at the right time for stability amidst the change. However a planet at 10 degrees of Taurus has tension with Saturn, but easy going with Pluto.

Your personal explanation would be enlightening and helpful if you have any planet, your rising sign or midheaven at 10 degrees of any sign, since your 10-degree points are being activated now. Contact Patty now for your personal, confidential and accurate interpretation to help you understand what is happening and why. Patty’s guidance helps many to make the right decisions for the highest good of all involved.  To reach her at her personal office phone, please call her at 302-378-0579.

New Moon, Meteor Shower and Geomagnetic Storm

On Monday morning, August 5, the Moon will pass Mercury in deep-red twilight. Binoculars might be required for the Mercury passage. Warning: Do not point the optics at the rising sun. Set your alarm for dawn and enjoy the show!

The new Moon is August 6, promising dark skies to view Mercury, Mars and Jupiter. They are in the sign of Cancer, activating your Cancer friends who may be more active and bossy than usual. Capricorn should expect emotional opposition to projects; Aries and Libra experience challenges from family; Scorpio and Pisces enjoy a harmonious time; Leo and Gemini should be neutral; Sagittarius and Aquarius adjust to emotional or family demands; Taurus and Virgo have the opportunity for pleasant relationships and projects.

The new moon is in the sign of Leo, prompting Leo to initiate projects. Aquarius may experience control issues over leadership; Scorpio and Taurus may be dismayed because of what they consider extravagance. Sagittarius, Aries, Gemini and Libra enjoy being guests at elegant social events; Cancer and Virgo are neutral: Capricorn quietly avoids an ostentatious event, Pisces quietly enjoys the day.

PERSEID METEOR SHOWER: Earth is entering a broad stream of debris from comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle, source of the annual Perseid meteor shower. Although the shower won't peak until August 12-13, when Earth hits the densest part of the stream, the first Perseid's are already arriving. Check http://spaceweather.com for images and updates. The maximum is coming. Meteor rates should remain low for the next week as Earth penetrates the sparse outskirts of the debris stream, then skyrocket to ~100 meteors per hour as the calendar turns to the second week of August. Forecasters expect maximum Perseid activity on the nights of August 12-13.  The weather is so pleasant, this is a great chance to have a meteor party. Put blankets and refreshments out on the lawn, lie down and watch the falling stars. The kids love it.

QUIET SUN: Many readers of spaceweather.com are asking about a recent media report, which stated that a Carrington-class solar storm narrowly missed Earth two weeks ago. That report is inaccurate.  Solar activity was low throughout July and remains low as August begins. Details at http://spaceweather.com. Do you think the solar flares have anything to do with the weather? When we had the super-flares, the temperature was hot; now that there is low solar flare activity, it is cool and dry. However A minor (Kp=5) geomagnetic storm is in progress as Earth enters a stream of solar wind flowing from a coronal hole on the sun. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras.

Meaning of Power

The word power evokes uneasiness and sometimes fear in the spiritual community. Why? I don’t know.

Astrologically, power is symbolized by the Sun. The Sun powers all life and growth here on the earth; without the Sun there would be no life as we know it on earth and we would not be here. Witness this spring and summer of 2013: the Sun has radiated very large solar flares, which have stimulated plant life. The parsley in my garden wintered over and is now, the beginning of July, six feet tall! Oh, I live in garden zone 7. Is the power of the Sun feared? Or should this power of the Sun be thanked for stimulating growth, and thereby increasing the crops to feed the world? If the power of the Sun was withdrawn, we would all die.

Power as defined in Webster New World Dictionary: great ability to do, act or affect strongly; vigor; force; strength. A powerful person is defined as having much power, strong, mighty, influential, effective. The opposite of power would be weak, feeble, helpless, ineffectual.

Some spiritual friends actually cringe when the conversation turns to the subject of power and powerful people. They seem to think this means bullies, but it only means the above definition. The same women who cringe at power and powerful people also talk about developing their “Feminine Power”.

Let’s look at power: would you rather be around effective people who get things done, or around week, feeble people who need others to do for them? If we did not have people of power there would be no nations, corporations & businesses, modes of transportation, electricity, nice homes and nice clothing. Some may say the big nations and corporations are nasty, but... The powerful people who invented things are the ones who made better lives for us. Their inventions sometimes create mistakes, but these are usually corrected.

Powerful people are those who exude a lot of energy that can be felt by others. Powerful people usually do not experience fear and walk through difficulties with their eyes open and heads held high. Powerful people know when circumstances will be challenging, but approach those challenges with confidence.

The powerful are to help those who are weaker, not dominate them. However some who are weaker feel fear in the presence of powerful people radiating their strong energy and are repelled. In reality, the powerful or strong people are eager to help those who are weaker and need help, but they need to ask. The powerful or strong people know who to contact and how to get accomplished what is needed. The powerful need not be rich, or in government or politics, or head of a corporation. Your powerful friends are the ones you call when you need help.  You know they will either help you or show you where to go for it. When you befriend a powerful or strong person, with their help, you can learn how to develop your own personal power.

This discussion arose from writing the article about transiting Pluto and Uranus, who are at odds with each other in the sky, revealing powerful forces for change roiling or agitating the earth at the time of writing: July 2013.

A Personal Story about Pluto

Anyone interested in astrology has heard or read about Pluto and Uranus in the sky revealing revolutionary forces world wide. As a matter of fact, these planets are in the same position as when English King George provoked the American Revolution. These two planets are at odds with each other, actually fighting each other, which will result in world-wide change by the end of this cycle.

Several times I have written that if you have a planet in your chart at 10 degrees, it will be hit by Uranus and Pluto. Let’s get personal. Transiting Pluto is at 10 Degrees of Capricorn, a cardinal sign. Transiting Uranus is going back and forth at 10 degrees of Aries, a cardinal sign. Specifically, if you have a planet at 10 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, you are going through big changes, whether you can identify them or not. The cardinal signs are like catalysts, they trigger energy and change.

Pluto begins its cycle quietly, but it is relentless and life-changing. By the time a Pluto cycle or transit is over, something had been eliminated, to be replaced by something new that most likely was not perceived at the beginning of the transit. Pluto was discovered in 1930, after the First World War with Hitler rising in power, which changed the world in ways no one could have foreseen. If you watched the English TV series Downtown Abbey from the beginning, you would have seen this progress through the experience of an English family. In a difficult aspect, like an opposition or square, the process can be very painful, sometimes with a public airing and clearing out.

Pluto is associated with power, dictators, shared resources, and dredging up muck. Pluto tears down what is at the end of its reign. Relevant to our current discussion, Pluto also rules body eliminations and toilets. Capricorn, the sign transiting Pluto is in now, is associated with supposedly secure, stable, old and established things, (like a heavy, old, china toilet), and in the physical body the knees. Pluto is having a good time tearing down established, but outworn structures.
Sidebar:    power is defined as the ability to be effective, to get things done. For a more in-depth discussion of power and the spiritual community, go to my blog, click here.

Uranus seems to unleash sudden, powerful forces of change. In reality, the pressure had been building for a long time, and Uranus is the catalyst, sparking people to be free, to  rebel and agitate. In a difficult aspect, like an opposition or square, the process can be a seeming disaster because of the sudden change that eliminates the outworn in your life. However, the old outworn systems will be replaced with what is more equal and gives more liberty.

Uranus is associated with sudden change, war and revolution, equality, groups of people and goals or causes. Aries, the sign transiting Uranus is now going through is associated with male energy, modes of transportation, guns, fires and aggression..

If you are paying the least bit of attention to the news, you will be aware of the revolutions in the mid-eastern countries, fires in the United States, oil accidents with railroad cars in Canada, gun control controversy in the United States and the United Nations and agitation and demonstrations for equality of gender. There are demonstrations all over the world to loudly proclaim whatever issue that particular group is for or against.

However, I wanted to tell you about my Pluto experience because it was different from what I expected. With transiting Pluto in opposition to my natal Mars the expectation was dealing with powerful people who could be demanding and dictatorial, or that I would be that way. It, thankfully, is not turning out that way. Pluto demands sharing and cooperation and refusal to do so can result in downfall.

The bathroom was renovated on the first Pluto opposition date and it took much longer than expected. The old, outworn Formica walls were torn down to the bare concrete and were redone. With this second Pluto focus date, the seal around the toilet leaked, with toilet water seeping underneath the floor tiles and eventually coming up through the tile seams. So I am dealing with bodily eliminations escaping the toilet, ripping up the new tile floor, drying out the wood under-floor and replacing the tiles. The relationship part of this opposition was having the plumber come to my rescue: the same one who did the plumbing on the first Pluto date. He was cooperative and gave me a reduction in his charges.

Another Pluto experience happened the other day. One of the tires on my car got punctured and shredded. It was disconcerting and I wondered how I would manage since I am not a member of AAA. The car limped home; I began to think and make phone calls. It turned out that everybody helped. The potential disaster resulted in being brought into a local network of friendly, helpful people. After the first phone call, which cascaded into others, a man came to change the tire, and I found how I could have a new tire delivered to the local car shop and get it mounted within a few days. All of this turned out to be very inexpensive, too, so that was lucky. My part of cooperating was to ask the other people what would be convenient for them, and I adjusted to their schedules.

This is only the second time in my life I’ve had relatively serious car trouble. My cars are lucky and usually only need the oil changed in a timely manner. The last time there was car trauma was many years ago when my progressed midheaven was in square to natal Mars. It needed a new, expensive transmission. At that time, the car was used for many business trips, hence the midheaven/career connection the last time around.

This is my long-winded way of writing that potentially difficult transits from powerful planets need not be horrible or feared. When you know the basic meaning of the transit, you can be prepared and act gracefully according to the nature of the planet. It was great that the people involved in both were as nice as could be and we all cooperated, as Pluto demands.

Gemini and Solar Flares

What do the solar flares mean to you?

GEOMAGNETIC STORMS: Last night, (June 6) Earth passed through a region of south-pointing magnetism in the solar wind. This triggered a G2-class (Kp=6) geomagnetic storm. At its peak, the storm spawned Northern Lights in the USA as far south as Kansas. More auroras are in the offing as a CME is set to deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field on June 8-9.  Check http://spaceweather.com for photos and updates.

The force of the geomagnetic storms or solar flares will come through the astrological sign of Gemini, joining the Sun, Moon, Mars and Jupiter! Today, June 7, Mars is in a square with wet Neptune and we on the East Coast of America are experiencing rain from tropical storm Andrea.

To you, this means the area of your horoscope influenced by Gemini is activated with nervous energy. This area of your life can be more active than usual with more communication from neighbors, or you could experience being nervous when dealing with those issues.

Gemini people, in particular, may be more nervous than usual, evidenced by rapid or silly talking, nervous hand movement or being irritable.  Gemini is not keen on keeping track of details, although they sometimes ask others to do so for them, so they may be avoiding details now. Gemini's are social and bring a social atmosphere in all their activities, so your Gemini friends may be more social and talkative today and tomorrow. This is a good day to be social, and put some details aside for another day.

You may have noticed that plant life this year is lush. Do you think this could be because of the solar radiation from the solar flares? The parsley in my garden is three feet high, the roses have been spectacular and the peonies have bigger and better flowers than in years past. Let us thank the Sun for the extra life radiated to us this year.

However, the strong radiation from the solar flares has caused some to get out of balance, particularly if that person is used to a fixed, predictable routine. The routine becomes un-routine or unbalanced, causing adjustment to small changes, which is disconcerting to those who enjoy control.

We are in a time in earth's history of great change, and the best way to handle it is with as much understanding and flexibility as possible, especially during Gemini time, which is from May 20 through June 21 this year.

Taurus eclipse happenings & Solar Flares

As if the new moon eclipse in Taurus on May 9th was not enough, NASA is saying the sun is sending very large solar flares (CME's) to the earth now.  This means it is possible for the glitches you experienced over the past weekend of May 9 through the 11th to continue. If you are a Taurus, have a Taurus Moon or Ascendant, you are energized from the extra energy from the Sun. If you are tired or irritable, please get some rest. Your relationships and activities may be moving too fast and you can blame it on the Sun.

The solar flares affect radio waves, cell phones, your TV and computer, so if they glitch, this is what it is. Since they affect electricity, they affect you, because  you are an electrical being. How much electricity, and at what speed is individual for each person. If you are a high-energy person, you may go faster and wear out or go past those who are slower. Try to be patient with yourself and others. Remember that each of us is supposed to be who we are.

Here is the notice:

Solar activity is high.  During a 24 hour period straddling May 13th and 14th, the sun unleashed three X-class solar flares.  These are the strongest flares of the year so far, and they signal a significant increase in solar activity.  The source of the flares, a large sunspot on the sun's eastern limb, appears poised to erupt again as it turns toward Earth.  Check http://spaceweather.com for updates and more information.
During the time of the eclipse, a Taurus friend had a time with her car on the eclipse, and I was involved. Her car overheated, so I picked her up a few miles north of our houses. The next day, Friday, she had arranged for her mechanic to pick up her car. I was supposed to drive her to her car and return us home. However, the man arrived at her car before I was ready, so she drove my car to her car. It turned out that she and the mechanic towed her car to the car repair place and they gave her a loaner car. She drove home and I did not have to go

Next change: Saturday I was supposed to pick up flowers an hour and a half south of here and was ready to leave when Ms. Taurus made changes again. Turns out she has friends who live two blocks from the flower pick-up location, so she arranged for her friends to pick them up for me. Ms. Taurus was going down that way anyway and brought the flowers home on Monday morning.

Turned out that the flower order was shorted by two flowers, but that is not a big deal. It was good changes for me, but for Ms. Taurus it was irritating. Taurus does not like change and her entire weekend was full of it. Even after she reached her weekend destination, the weekend brought minor changes for her. She managed with a smile and a laugh, though.

For those of you who want to know astrology: the Sun, Moon, Mercury, South node, Mars were all in the sign of Taurus on May 9, the day of the eclipse. The eclipse itself was not related to my chart, but... the south node was conjunct my natal Uranus, noting change with Taurus people or issues that were a repeat from the past. Transiting Mars was on my seventh house cusp of relationships, opposite my ascendant, indicating changes in relationships, possibly with Taureans. That I did not drive the car that day is fortunate. Mars rules or is the patron planet of vehicles and it could have been difficult with Mars opposing my ascendant or physical body. The other planetary aspect to my chart is that of transiting Uranus in an active square to my natal Mars, indicating unexpected and sudden change. This minor activity with the car is not it; there will be other changes as that transit progresses. I'll keep you informed.
