Feb 2 through Feb 9 2020

You can see by the wheel the planets will have spread  out in a nice fan pattern by the full Moon on Feb 9. However, the South Node, Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn are still in the karmic sign of Capricorn, meaning the world is experiencing consequences of previous actions.  Uranus in Taurus reveals a good situation with the South Node, meaning change in practical affairs will lessen or correct karma.  With the North Node in Cancer, the focus for the future is with family and caring. You can see the Sun all by itself in the sign of Aquarius with no relationship to other planets. This could mean that any change will be relatively mild, but your Aquarius friends act without hindrance.

As this is written, the US Senate voted Jan 31 not to call witnesses; the USA has joined other countries in closing borders to arrivals from China. Feb 2 USA: an adjustment or tweak in an agreement with an ally or enemy. The president gives quiet good news or there is good news about health care or the work force.

Feb 3: Mercury goes into Pisces through March 4. Communication softens and focuses more on creativity, compassion and caring. Good time for Pisces to present creative ideas. Virgo experiences irritation because details are not forthcoming. Gemini and Sagittarius also irritated but maybe because of travel glitches. Good communication month for Scorpio and Cancer, who can help Pisces be more specific and help Virgo be more inclusive. Feb 5: if the opportunity is taken, communication or news offers positive change with a creative or compassionate solution. Pisces may offer a creative solution to a mundane situation. Feb 6: see-saw or quincunx day when things do not go as expected, asking you to adjust to interruptions. Cancer and Aquarius feel this the most. These signs have a hard time understanding each other, with each good to appreciate the qualities of the other. Cancer to understand Aquarius focus on the abstract, knowledge and unattachment; Aquarius to understand Cancer focus on family, feelings and being close. The week begins with the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto and the South Node in Capricorn. Mercury has moved into Aquarius, Venus into Pisces. Uranus is still at 6 degrees Taurus,  Neptune and Chiron is still at 2 degrees Aries.  is still at 16 degrees Pisces.  Transformation is evident world-wide, from the bush fires in Australia, the resignation of the government in Russia and the impeachment in the USA, to mention only a few. With Mercury going into Aquarius minds may be focusing on the future, with innovative and daring ideas for reconstruction. Venus in Pisces softens with help and compassion. The Sun will go into Aquarius Jan 20 lessening the Capricorn concentration of ambition and destruction or tearing down to rebuild.

Jan 21 USA: to be expected, news from the House and Senate about impeachment, but there may be a revelation of something in the past regarding money. Jan 23 Thurs: day of change with the progressive and new challenging the traditional. An opportunity for a creative solution to change - possibly the rebuilding of what was destroyed. Pisces and Capricorn can contribute to the rebuilding project. Especially challenging for Aquarius and Taurus followed by Scorpio and Leo. Gemini and Libra can help Aquarius with Virgo and Capricorn helping Taurus. Cancer and Pisces can help Scorpio, Aries and Sagittarius help Leo.

Jan 23 USA: nation still off balance, adjusting to the situation with the president, with hin in an apparent weak position, combined with good news of some sort regarding legal issues or agreements.

Jan 24 Fri: Moon goes into Aquarius forming a new Moon in Aquarius. Emotions becoming abstract to seemingly non-existent, decisions are based upon facts, not feelings. A serious, difficult interaction with foreign entity that seems to be okay, but... this is the precursor to two serious transit cycles that begin end of February 2020 (this year) through January 2021. The week begins with the South Node, Jupiter, Sun, Saturn, Pluto and Mercury in Capricorn. The Saturn, Pluto and Mercury at 22 degrees, setting off that degree in your chart. The continued Capricorn focus reveals more destruction and reconstruction world-wide, with fires, missile strikes, earthquakes, volcanoes erupting, bad weather and demonstrations. In my view, this works with the seeming chaos of outgoing Age of Pisces and incoming Age of Aquarius, stirring the energies of both. The change of Ages brings many changes and some seeming extinctions. Only the form changes, the spirit which enlivens the forms, (think of nature, animals and trees) lives on and will inhabit or incarnate in new forms. We begin with the six planets in Capricorn. Generally, this is good for the earth signs of Capricorn, Virgo and Taurus, with opportunities for Scorpio and Pisces in situations to bring security and stability. Cancer experiences strong relationships. Sagittarius and Aquarius are neutral; Aries and Libra experience tense situations about security or older people. Gemini and Leo continue to adjust to practical, serious situations. Sorry about the astrology in this article, but it is helpful to know the numbers.

There is a full-Moon eclipse Jan 10 in the signs of Cancer and Capricorn, aggravating the Iran situation. The day of the strike, Fri Jan 3, indications were there was a credible threat against the USA. (Astrologese: the Sun would have been opposite the Sun Jan 4 indicating threat and Mars went into Sagittarius, indicating things hidden were acted upon in a big way.).

The strike on Iran and the eclipse do not reveal anything sinister for Iran at this time. Later this year, Iran will go through its Neptune square, meaning what was hidden will eventually be revealed, like a mirage dissolving in the sunlight. Some of its hard transits or planetary relationships have happened, such as the USA getting out of the Iran Nuclear Deal. Jan 4 Sat USA: strong interaction with or about a foreign country or foreign trade. As I write this the second time, the tension with Iran exists. Iran has promised revenge. Many are against the USA. Jan 9 USA: news is a little kinder, with a good situation regarding foreign affairs or the law.

Jan 10 Fri: Full Moon eclipse in the signs of Cancer and Capricorn. This should be noticed! Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Sun and South Node are all close together in Capricorn, with the Moon and North Node in Cancer, but not close together. (For those of you into astrology, the degree of the eclipse is 20, with the Sun and Mercury both at that degree and the Moon at 20 degrees Cancer. Pluto and Saturn are both at 22 degrees Capricorn. The other planets are not making aspects to relieve the energy). Capricorn and Saturn represent karma, fear, responsibility hard work and structure. With Saturn, the planet of death and Pluto the planet of destruction and reconstruction or transformation, there may be the destruction of structures, whether bridges and roads or entities we rely on, such as big companies and banks. Cancer people, especially, will notice this eclipse via relationship focus with many. Aries and Libra can expect tense situations requiring change. Taurus and Virgo may experience good work or service situations and can help Capricorn. Aquarius may be more compassionate than usual, with Sagittarius being an active peacemaker.  Leo and Gemini adjust to strong practical, structural or transformation around them. Pluto and Saturn are conjunct or together at 21 and 22 degrees of Capricorn. If you have these degrees in your chart, you will feel it! How depends upon the planets, signs and aspects or relationships. Contact Patty to learn how this will impact your chart.

The USA has natal Neptune at 22 degrees Virgo in the ninth house of foreign affairs and the Supreme Court.
