Your Leo Friends

This is the time of Leo: summer and "dog days", when the star Sirius is overhead. Your Leo friends are proud, dramatic and fiery and need a lot of attention and praise. If they are ignored, they can be demanding and expensive. They are steadfast, loyal friends and are wonderful administrators who are good at delegating tasks. My experience has shown that Leo men need financial lessons because they seem to think money will always just flow in like the sunshine. They are prone to expensive, showy taste, spend too much money and get into debt too easily, yet they are attentive and generous.

Leo is the sign of love, and they are romantic in love and want you to accept their loving attention and gifts. If their love is spurned or ignored they can have heart problems.

Leo is one of the fire signs, along with Aries and Sagittarius who they get along with very well. This means they are creative and outgoing or are extroverts. Leo has the opportunity for good relationships with Gemini, who can communicate Leo’s ideas, and Libra, who can be the diplomat when Leo comes on too strong and initiate Leo’s ideas.

Leo is one of the manager signs, along with Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius, who they could have control issues with. The manager signs can be called control freaks when they require everything to be managed by them and won’t bend. They can have difficult relationships with Scorpio and Taurus over money, and Aquarius over who controls the group. Aquarius is Leo’s opposite and this can be a wonderful relationship with understanding.

Cancer and Virgo are astrological next-door neighbors and get along with Leo well. Cancer is one of the leader signs who can reach out with Leo's ideas, with Leo ably administering the project. Virgo is practical and detail-oriented and will take care of those for Leo.

The signs of Capricorn and Pisces are the most difficult for Leo to work with because of the astrological differences. Leo is fixed and fiery, Capricorn is earthy, careful and non-communicating. Pisces is super-flexible, sensitive and dreamy, although they admire Leo’s strength. This does not mean they don’t get along, it only means it takes a little effort on both signs
to do so.

Leo can hang on too long to situations, things and people because of pride. They need to learn when the situation is complete, the object is no longer useful and a friend is gone and just let go. Letting go need not be a blow to pride.

Enjoy your Leo friends and give them their much-deserved compliment.

July 25: A stream of solar wind is heading for Earth

Spaceweather.com for 25 July 2012: LONG RANGE OUTLOOK: A stream of solar wind is heading for Earth, due to arrive on July 28-30. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras on those dates in case the impact sparks geomagnetic storms. To see beautiful pictures and read the full story, To see beautiful pictues and read the full story Click here:
Since the solar wind is already heading to earth, let’s be careful of being off balance because of the radiation, especially those of you who live very far north, such as Alaska, Russiak the UK and northern Europe. The article about the solar flare of July 12 stated there was strong UV radiation, and we should expect that now. If you sunburn easily, please cover up because the UV is what burns.

Here on the East Coast of the United States experienced extreme heat during the last solar flare. Today (July 24) the weather is most pleasant, but I wonder what the temperature will be in a few days. We’ll find out. The London Olympics open Friday, July 27, just before the solar flare. Maybe their weather will be hot and they can see the auroras that will be spawned as a result of the flare. It will be interesting to see if there is any difference in performances of the athletes.

The solar flare is exciting the Leo part of the zodiac, joining retrograde Mercury. If you are a Leo, have a Leo Moon or Leo rising, be alert for an extra push of energy (radiation). You could be more focused and commanding than usual, or you could be more tired than usual. Either way, try to realize it is the solar flare and ease up on yourself. If you are an Aquarius, others may want control and expect to be obeyed. Scorpio and Taurus could experience tense financial situations. Cancer and Virgo are relatively neutral. Aries and Sagittarius will enjoy the extra energy; Gemini and Libra have the opportunity to be the diplomatic and peace-makers in tense situations. Capricorn and Pisces may be the ones thrown most off balance because the energies are very strong and commanding.

If you know your chart, look to where Leo rules, which is the area around the sign of Leo on the cusp of a house. For instance, if you have the sign of Leo on the line between any two areas of your chart, that area will be bombarded by this solar flare. Expect extra activity in that area of your life.

Mercury is still retrograde, which disturbs communications, and the solar flare disturbs communications. So, if your equipment glitches, or internet and other communication glitches, blame it on the combination of these. After Mercury goes direct August 8 double-check your communications and documents.

Greenland’s Ice Cover has melted

From NASA Science News for July 24, 2012:

For several days this month, Greenland's surface ice cover melted over a larger area than at any time in more than 30 years of satellite observations. Nearly the entire ice cover of Greenland experienced some degree of melting, according to measurements from three independent satellites. Extent of surface melt over Greenland’s ice sheet on July 8 (left in the pictue) and July 12 (right in the picture). Measurements from three satellites showed that on July 8, about 40 percent of the ice sheet had undergone thawing at or near the surface. In just a few days, the melting had dramatically accelerated and an estimated 97 percent of the ice sheet surface had thawed by July 12. To see the side-by-side pictures and read the Full story, click here: http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2012/24jul_greenland/.

Do you think the Greenland ice melt could have anything to do with the massive solar flare, or CME, that left Sun on July 12 and bombarded the earth on July 14? It is interesting that NASA surmised we would feel the force of the solar flare on July 14, yet the Greenland ice sheet showed almost complete thawing on July 12, the very day the solar flare left the sun. The full article stated that the earth (and of course space) was full of high UV radiation on July 12.

Mercury goes retrograde July 14

The planet Mercury goes retrograde July 14 and goes direct August 8.

Mercury rules communications such as the phone, internet, newspapers, and written papers, especially legal papers. When it goes retrograde it is not a good time to sign papers or make agreements. The legal part of marriage is ruled by Mercury, so when it is retrograde it is possible the legal paperwork is not right. I went to a wedding that was held under a retrograde Mercury, and when the paperwork was signed, the time of the wedding was wrong on the paper. Everybody let it go. If you must sign legal papers as part of your job, make sure you re-check them after Mercury goes direct to correct any mistakes.

Mercury rules electricity and electronic gadgets such as your computer, IPad and cell phone, so during the retrograde period these gadgets can malfunction and be quite irritating. If your car, printer or copier glitches, check the electronics first, it is most likely something simple but electrical. It is not wise to purchase anything electrical during this time because something hidden is wrong and will surface when Mercury goes retrograde the next time. Experiences under a retrograde Mercury tend to repeat during another cycle. Mercury retrograde time is not all difficult: check to some of the previous Mercury retrograde times to see what good happened, knowing this could ll repeat. What you purchase under a retrograde Mercury could be nice now, but during the next cycle it could malfunction. This happened to me years ago when I purchased what I thought was a beautiful retro telephone under a retrograde Mercury. Lo and behold, during the next retrograde Mercury time, it stopped working.

The next Mercury retrograde time will be between November 6 and November 26, 2012. The previous retrograde Mercury time was between March 12 and April 4, 2012.

During this Mercury retrograde time, it is in the sign of Leo. This means Leo people could have the most irritating experiences. Be careful of exaggerating your abilities, being too controlling and be very careful purchasing expensive, showy items because they could be disappointing later. Aquarius could experience resistance to group plans because the one in authority wants the attention. Aries and Sagittarius may seem to have an easy communication time, but be sure to double-check communication from authority after Mercury goes direct on August 8. Cancer should be neutral. Taurus and Scorpio could experience control issues because the authoritarian could be too bossy, too right and have exaggerated. Libra has the opportunity to diplomatically point out any discrepancies. Capricorn and Pisces adjust to mistakes they may see that others don’t. Virgo’s patron planet is Mercury, so you can expect irritating delays or errors with details. Gemini’s patron planet is Mercury, too, so pay extra attention to the detail you don’t enjoy. You do have the opportunity to help others see mistakes, and in your conciliatory way, bring them to attention.

Enjoy this Mercury retrograde time; roll with the glitches and all will be well in three weeks. To discover  your personal Mercury retrograde experience, contact Patty by clicking here. contact Patty by clicking here.

Transit of Venus

James Cook and the Transit of Venus
On August 12, 1768, His Majesty's Bark Endeavour slipped out of harbor, Lt. James Cook in command, bound for Tahiti. The island had been "discovered" by Europeans only a year before in the South Pacific, a part of Earth so poorly explored map makers couldn't agree if there was a giant continent there or not. Cook might as well have been going to the Moon or Mars. He would have to steer across thousands of miles of open ocean, with nothing like GPS or even a good wristwatch to keep time for navigation, to find a speck of land only 20 miles across. On the way, dangerous storms could (and did) materialize without warning. Unknown life forms waited in the ocean waters. Cook fully expected half the crew to perish. Transit of Venus
On June 5, 2012 at sunset on the East Coast of North America and earlier for other parts of the U.S., the planet Venus will make its final trek across the face of the Sun as seen from Earth until the year 2117. The last time this event occurred was on June 8, 2004 when it was watched by millions of people across the world. Get prepared for this once in a lifetime event! For over 100 years the main quest of astronomers was to pin down the distance between Earth and Sun (the Astronomical Unit), which would give them a key to the size of the solar system. Careful studies of the transit of Venus became the gold mine they would harvest to reveal this measure. http://sunearthday.nasa.gov/2012/transit/index.php .http://sunearthday.nasa.gov/2012/transit/viewing_locations.php . To see the map of visibility of the Transit of Venus.

The planet Venus is now traveling in a retrograde motion in the sign of Gemini. To read the full story of what this means to you astrologically, click here. http://pattytheastrologer.blogspot.com/

What does it mean that Venus is transiting, or passing across, the face of the Sun? A planet that close to the Sun is usually overshadowed by the sun’s rays, rendering the planet less potent. However, with a transit, the planet would be enhanced. Both the Venus transit of 1769 and this one in 2012 are in the sign of Gemini, the sign of communication. Cook's expedition is often likened to a space mission. "The Endeavor was not only on a voyage of discovery," writes Tony Horwitz in the Cook travelogue Blue Latitudes, "it was also a laboratory for testing the latest theories and technologies, much as spaceships are today."

Many scientists will be traveling to observe this Venus transit and we can expect new discoveries, not only in space physical science, but new technology or ways of observing the transit. The planet Mars will have been in a challening situation to the Sun/Venus transit a few days prior to the transit, indicating a possible minor snag in the details of measurement. By the June 5 it will have been resolved. The planet Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn and on June 5 the Moon will be conjunct or in the same degree as Pluto, although they cannot be close. There could be a consolidation or joining of corporate endeavors to provide the means to measure this transit, which will be beneficial to everybody at a later date.
What possible affect will have on you?
This depends upon your astrological sign. Gemini should experience a surge of energy and desire to communicate, especially if you were born about June 19. Please be your usual diplomatic self. Sagittarius can expect others to be conversationally enthusiastic and may have an intense desire to travel. Virgo may be irritated by constant conversation they consider frivolous. However, Virgo would have helped solve the glitch prior to the transit. Pisces can enjoy the drama of the event and subsequent talk. Libra and Aquarius enjoy the social atmosphere associated with the transit. Aries and Leo have the opportunity to be in on the advances and engineering accomplishments. Scorpio and Capricorn adjust to the whirl of speedy communication and discovery and Capricorn may be part of the corporate team sponsorships. Taurus and Cancer are relatively neutral. Venus goes retrograde May 15

Venus goes retrograde May 15 and appears to go backwards until June 27. Of course, a planet cannot actually go backwards, but appears to do so compared with the background of the zodiac. Compare it to being in a train. When a faster train overtakes the slower train, the feeling is eerie, with the slower train feeling like it is going backwards, but of course, it is not.

Venus is retrograde this time in the sign of Gemini, which is a changeable sign. You could experience your woman changing her mind frequently. If you are a Gemini, you may be more interested in flirting than being serious. Sagittarius may experience your woman being nervous. Virgo and Pisces could be irritated because your woman is not paying attention to detail or is being late. Taurus and Cancer should be neutral during this time unless you are married with or in a relationship with a Gemini. Libra and Aquarius enjoy the light-heartedness of the social scene, and Aries and Leo have opportunities for social adventures, but they are temporary. Scorpio and Capricorn could be unsettled because of financial instability.

Venus rules love & marriage, partnerships, money, harmony & diplomacy and the finer things in life. When she goes retrograde, your money could slow down. It is good to look ahead and be sure you have enough money to pay your basic expenses during the time Venus is retrograde. There should be bargains in luxury goods. If you have plenty of money coming in, there could be unexpected expenses forcing you to be at your basic financial level. Getting married now is not a good idea. If you are in a relationship that is not compatible, the differences will arise, asking you to re-evaluate the relationship and make adjustments or end it.

If you are a Taurus, expect money control issues, if you are a Libra, expect challenging relationships. Relationship troubles are especially focused on the woman in the partnership. If you begin a new love relationship, something could be wrong with the woman’s reason for being with you, which will surface the next time Venus goes retrograde.

Of course, there is more to it than the above generalities. For your personal interpretation, please click here to contact Patty.

Venus Conjunct Pleiades

This week the second planet from the sun will pass directly in front of the Pleiades star cluster. It's a rare sunset conjunction that's easy to find with the unaided eye, but best seen through binoculars or a small telescope.

Venus approaching the Pleiades on March 31st, photographed by astronomy professor Jimmy Westlake of Stagecoach, Colorado. The astrological interpretation of this beauty is found in the April predictions.

The action begins on Monday evening, April 2nd, when Venus enters the outskirts of the little dipper-shaped asterism. Look west at sunset for Venus--it's the brightest thing around--then scan the area using binoculars. The conjunction will be immediately clear. The best evening to look is Tuesday, April 3rd, when the brilliant planet glides just south of the dipper's bowl. Venus exits by the handle on Wednesday, April 4th. Venus passes through the Pleiades in this way about once every 8 years. To say this is a mixture of dissimilar things would be an understatement.

Click to view a sky map of the conjunction. The Pleiades are elusive. You rarely find them on purpose. They're best seen out of the corner of your eye, a pretty little surprise that pops out of the night sky when you're staring elsewhere.
Venus is just the opposite. Dazzling, bright enough to cast faint shadows, it beams down from the heavens and grabs you when you're not even looking.

The Pleiades, also known as the "Seven Sisters," are a cluster of young stars. They formed barely 100 million years ago during the age of dinosaurs on Earth from a collapsing cloud of interstellar gas. The biggest and brightest members are blue-white and about five times wider than our own sun.

Because of their distance, about 400 light years away, the Pleiades are near the limit of naked-eye visibility. When Venus joins them in conjunction, it will look like a supernova has gone off inside the cluster. Venus's thick clouds reflect so much sunlight, the planet outshines every thing in the night sky except the Moon. Strangely, though, the Pleiades do not look puny in comparison, just delicately beautiful. Look west just after sunset, and see for yourself.

April Predictions

This month there are three important happenings: Venus and the Pleiades are conjunct between March 31 and April 3. Mercury goes direct on the 4th at 05:12 Eastern Time. Yay!!! Mars goes direct on the 13th, double Yay!!!

Venus and the Pleiades are conjunct in the sign of Taurus on March 30, April 1 and April 2. The Pleiades is a nebulae of seven stars in the constellation of Taurus at about 27 degrees. In mythology, they are the seven sisters. Venus is traveling through the last degrees of Taurus until April 3, joining the Pleiades. Both Taurus, the Pleiades and Venus are associated with sex, money and possessions. If your birthday is the last few days of Taurus, you will be strongly radiated with this energy. Be careful of wanting more and more, and trying to control the checkbook against the wishes of others. If your birthday is the last few days of Scorpio, expect control issues over money and sex. Those of you whose birthdays are the last few days of Leo and Aquarius can expect situations concerning control of money, sex, children and friends. Be careful.

The compatible earth signs of Virgo and Capricorn are somewhat shy or understated in sexual advances, and you could enjoy your loved one coming on stronger than usual. Beneficial financial situations are here for you, too, but please act on your intuition. The compatible water signs of Cancer and Pisces have an easier time of it, with Venus and the Pleiades bringing opportunities to change your financial situation for the better by being more frugal. There could also be opportunities for an intimate encounter with a loved one. Aries is neutral, but Libra and Sagittarius adjust to what they think is too much financial or sexual pressure. Gemini is supposed to be neutral, but Venus goes into Gemini on April 3 at 10:17 Eastern Time, which is nice for Gemini. The pressure from the Pleiades is somewhat less, but Gemini could be confused about being close with someone and wanting to gad about. This only lasts for a few days.

April 1: The Moon goes into Leo at 03:34, creating some drama. By work time things are weird for about half an hour and you hear from friends. Astrology tip of the day: in the drama, be flexible.

April 2: The Sun and Moon are getting along and things are good for Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Astrology tip of the day: be as creative and social as you can to enjoy the day.

April 3: The Moon goes into Virgo at 08:51 changing the atmosphere to common sense and attention to detail. Venus goes into Gemini at 10:17 through early August. Venus goes retrograde May 15. When Venus is in Gemini, your loved one wants a social life and may be flirty. Gemini has a great time meeting new people: Sagittarius may find their loved one being the butterfly. Libra and Aquarius enjoy this time of more social life and friends. Aries and Leo have opportunities to invite sparkly Gemini to your adventures and social functions. Scorpio and Capricorn adjust to what they think is frivilous activity, but you could relax and enjoy it. Taurus and Cancer are neutral. Virgo and Pisces could be irritated with all the communication and social interruptions, although Pisces usually enjoys this unless it interrupts their sleep. Astrology tip of the day: enjoy any social interruptions as an opportunity to lighten up and have fun.

April 4: Mercury goes direct in the sign of Pisces. Now communications will be right and your internet, computer and printer will work. It is wise to wait until after today to let the energy settle down before signing papers, though. The Sun and Moon are at odds with each other, portending a day full of interruptions that ask you to accommodate minor changes. The detail person is asking for minute details which can irritate everybody. Astrology tip of the day: be patient and pay attention to the detail.

April 5: the Moon goes into Libra at 10:31 changing the energy to that of getting along graciously. Venus is challenging Neptune, not always a successful endeavor. Ideas are impractical, the weather is not good and any romantic encounter or wishes are entirely unrealistic. Be very careful of repeating gossip because it most likely is not true. Astrology tip of the day: indulge any dreaminess with a night out to escape the doldrums.

April 6: Full Moon in the signs of Libra and Aries. There are leadership challenges, especially between Libra and Aries, but also with Cancer and Capricorn. Gemini can help by communicating all sides of the situation; Aquarius can help by inviting them to go out with friends. Leo can be a colorful anchor to Aries; Sagittarius can bring peace (the astrology books don’t usually say Sagittarius is a peacemaker). If Cancer and Capricorn get drawn in, Scorpio can quietly bring stability to them. The areas of the body associated with this full Moon are the adrenal glands, the bladder, the head and upper jaw. Astrology tip of the day: let the leaders figure it out.

April 7: The Moon goes into Scorpio at 10:17 and things quiet down and become focused. There are challenges because younger people or women, who want to be social and frivilous when the project demands discipline and attention to detail. A suggestion would be to have the party after hours. Gemini and Virgo have the hardest time with each other, followed by Sagittarius and Pisces. Libra can try diplomacy, Aquarius and Sagittarius leave the scene, with Capricorn and Taurus bringing common sense to it. Astrology tip of the day: discernment is required.

April 8: the Sun and Moon are at odds again, this time between Scorpio and Aries. Scorpio wants Aries to think ahead, which Aries usually does not do; Aries is impulsive. Expect the day to be full of interruptions, asking you to accommodate requests for financial plans. Astrology tip of the day: research what is asked before bringing your answer.

April 9: The Moon goes into Sagittarius at 10:12, lightening up emotions, with talk about travel and foreign affairs. The planets indicate an opportunity for a breakthrough in communications or the internet that benefits many and costs relatively little. Gemini can bring an opportunity to Aries to communicate Aries idea. Libra provides leadership to Aquarius for the group. Leo can administer the project, with Sagittarius offering to promote it. Today is a good day for everyone. Astrology tip of the day: be alert for and accept opportunity.

April 10: The Sun and Moon are getting along, with Sagittarius and Aries benefitting the most, followed by Leo. Gemini, Libra and Aquarius have opportunities for either travel or new projects. Cancer and Capricorn adjust to a new, mild challenge, Pisces is tired from all the activity. Taurus and Virgo enjoy a good day with your practical projects. Scorpio offers long-range financial advice. Astrology tip of the day: be as creative as possible.

April 11: The Moon goes into Capricorn at 12:02 and the energy changes to paying attention to career and work. It will be a good day for the earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, and the water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. The energy is practical, which is not much to the liking of the air signs of Gemini, Libra and Aquarius; and the fire signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. However, it is a nice day, so everyone is happy. Astrology tip of the day: pay attention to the down-to-earth plans and work.

April 12: Communication to is vague and impractical with ideas misunderstood by the leaders or directors. Reports are incomplete, some don’t show up, and new ideas are considered weird. There could be interruptions to power and the internet, especially in the early afternoon. Astrology tip of the day: be flexible and friendly.

April 13: Mars goes direct and time speeds up to normal. Your projects move out of being in slow-mode, your relationships with men are better, and if anything mechanical had malfunctioned, they all of a sudden work again. Quarter Moon in the signs of Capricorn and Aries, revealing challenges in leadership. One leader is commanding careful planning, the other is impulsively directing speed and they clash. Cancer and Libra could be drawn in and have a challenging day. Taurus and Virgo can advise common sense, Leo and Sagittarius can present creative solutions. Gemini, Aquarius and Pisces get out of the way, with Scorpio retreating. Astrology tip of the day: enjoy the activity but don’t get drawn in.

April 14: Ideas are premature, but with youthful enthusiasm presented to the one in power anyway and are rebuffed. Your loved one may want to be social, but has to face the reality of a reduced budget. The communication breakthrough of April 9 may have to now present the business plan or work within an unexpected smaller budget. The budgeteer is stronger. Gemini could be disappointed because nobody comes out to play. Astrology tip of the day: be focused and frugal.

April 15: Opposition between leaders, especially Aries and Libra, creating a stressful, challenging situation that calls in Cancer and Capricorn. The leader with the new idea wants to work alone against the established one and the established one is stronger. Peace negations are not going well because of anger and each wanting their own way. Internationally it is a stressful day. Later in the day there is an opportunity for a solution that is good for everybody. This is an opportunity; it needs to be accepted in order for a solution. Astrology tip of the day: stay as silent as possible.

April 16: The Moon goes into Pisces at 00:38 and is conjunct Neptune. We cannot see it because Neptune is too far away, but the energy changes to that of being creative and wanting escape. However, Mercury goes into Aries at 17:41 through May 9. Communication now changes to fast, courageous ideas and talk. The energy of Aries likes to provoke, so you can expect spirited conversations. This is the time for Aries to present ideas. Libra may experience verbal challenges, with Cancer and Capricorn enjoying spirited conversations. Leo is urged to action, with Sagittarius seeing daring travel plans. Aries and Gemini are supposed to get along, but each likes provocation, so there could be arguments if you are not careful. Aquarius has the opportunity to successfully put new ideas to the group. Pisces and Taurus are neutral. Virgo and Scorpio adjust to impulsiveness. Astrology tip of the day: be open to daring or bold ideas.

April 17: A calm day with opportunity for creative ideas to be put to practical use. Astrology tip of the day: use your intuition.

April 18: The Moon goes into Aries, joining Mercury and Uranus and may be far enough away from the Sun to be seen. You can at least see the Moon. Expect a very active day full of impulsive change, perhaps brought by your Aries friends. Libra can expect a day of confrontation, with Cancer and Capricorn also having challenging circumstance. Leo and Sagittarius have a great day, but Leo will need to let go of the old to enjoy it. Gemini and Aquarius have the opportunity for change for the better. Pisces and Taurus are neutral, Virgo and Scorpio need to adjust, which is not in their natures. Astrology tip of the day: have a great ride with the change.

April 19: the Sun goes into Taurus at 11:11. The energy slows down somewhat. Taurus consolidates and manages what Aries begins and is concerned with money, sex and food in varying order. This is the time for planting, with it best to wait until the new Moon in Taurus to plant seeds and outdoor plants to make sure there will be no more frost. We thought we could plant last month, but the beginning of April it was cold with frosts. Since the focus is on money now, Scorpio could experience opposition in that quarter. Leo and Aquarius will be challenged to stay within the budget (ugh!). Virgo and Capricorn are happy that finances and work are going smoothly. Cancer and Pisces have the opportunity to consolidate finances and take the opportunity for good, but small investments. Next door neighbors Aries and Gemini are neutral. Libra and Sagittarius adjust to budget constraints. Since Taurus is concerned with food, there could be good bargains at the food store. Astrology tip of the day: balance the checkbook or your projects.

April 20: Bold, daring ideas throw the project manager off balance. The manager wants detail, not innovation. Aries could provoke Virgo, resulting in biting criticism. Expect a day of interruptions before the Moon goes into Taurus at 23:05. Astrology tip of the day: turn criticism into humor.

April 21: New Moon in Taurus, exact at 02:18. Now it is safe to plant your seeds and outdoor plants. This is the day for Taurus to begin - yes begin - new projects, which will succeed. Scorpio has opposition; Virgo and Capricorn have a great, practical day. Cancer and Pisces have the opportunity to join a project. Aries and Gemini are neutral, with Scorpio and Sagittarius adjusting to activities they think are boring. Leo and Aquarius experience control issues. Astrology tip of the day: plant seeds, whether in the garden, for new relationships or projects.

April 22: There is an opportunity to combine the economical and the creative, meaning a creative activity can be brought in under budget. It is a great day to have an inexpensive holiday or romantic outing. The one in charge is quietly in control, especially of the money, so please cooperate. There are daring, innovative ideas put forth for a new group, association or community. Communication today is impulsive, fast and new. There could be strong, gusty east winds. Taurus is in control and Aries is communicative, and if they meet, it is okay. Astrology tip of the day: allow control of the checkbook, and welcome the innovative ideas.

April 23: Moon goes into Gemini at 19:59 with emotions light and variable. The Sun and Mars are in agreement, with the day quiet, practical and nice. The one in charge works well with the detail manager, getting things done harmoniously. Especially favored are the earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces have the opportunity to join in practical projects. Astrology tip of the day: pay attention to the practical and detail.

April 24: The Moon in Gemini joins Venus in Gemini, bringing pleasant conversation to the day. Gemini is their scintillating self, flirting with everyone, although Sagittarius may want to argue. Virgo and Pisces could be irritated, but Libra and Aquarius have a good social day. Scorpio and Capricorn adjust to people flitting about instead of being serious. Aries and Leo have the opportunity to join fun social time. Pisces and Cancer are neutral. Astrology tip of the day: be more social than normal.

April 25: Stressful, challenging communication, with a new idea or a war-like person challenging the one in power and control. There could be arguments or explosions, pulling Cancer and Capricorn into the situation. It would be wise to step aside. This is a leadership challenge which should be noticeable. Sagittarius could try peacemaking, with Taurus attempting quiet common-sense solution. This is very tense day. Astrology tip of the day: if you are a leader, express compromise.

April 26: The Moon goes into Cancer at 00:41. Yesterday’s challenge is calm today and your day should go well except for about half an hour around 19:30 when there is another leadership challenge. The challenge is again with the leadership signs of Cancer and Capricorn, and Aries and Libra. This is much milder than yesterday. The Sun and Moon are getting along, revealing the opportunity to resolve issues and for good finances and family relations. Astrology tip of the day: be caring of others.

April 27: If any issues are still around from the 25th, today has an opportunity for resolution. Astrology tip of the day: take the opportunity to resolve issues, either by accepting or creating peace.

April 28: The Moon goes into Leo at 11:08. It is a calm day, except that Leo brings drama to the fore, today in a good, creative way. Astrology tip of the day: be a little more dramatic.

April 29: Quarter Moon in the signs of Leo and Taurus, revealing stubborn control issues over money. Scorpio and Aquarius could also experience money control issues. However, the Sun is in a beautiful relationship with Pluto, meaning the situation is good for practical solutions to stubborn problems. Taurus and Capricorn are the ones laying the structure for lasting practical resolution of a long-term problem that could be financial. The Moon in Leo is creatively and dramatically a good communicator of the resolution. Astrology tip of the day: be ready for varied communication, most of which is offering answers to problems.

April 30: The Moon goes into Virgo at 18:02, changing from drama to quiet attention to detail. The business from yesterday is quiet today, with those ideas being put into a plan. Toward the end of the day, there could be rain, or someone does not show up. Astrology tip of the day: put your plan into sequential order.

Feb 22, 2012

Predictions for March 2012.

Mars is still retrograde and little mechanical glitches are still happening. The other day the printer acted up; this time the roller that pulls paper into it stopped working. All it took was a wiggle to fix.

Mercury goes retrograde on March 12 in the sign of Aries and goes direct April 4 in the sign of Pisces. As you know, when Mercury goes retrograde things electrical malfunction. In the sign of Aries, the malfunctions would be the electrical components of mechanical things. When Mercury backs into the sign of Pisces on March 23, the electrical components of the computer, TV, or anything that has to do with pictures can malfunction. It is not a good time for any medical tests, either, especially any test regarding gases.

March 1: Very early a possibly of an argument; let it go. All day communication is unsettled. The one with the creative idea is not specific enough for the one in charge. Wait a day or two to present it again.

March 2: Moon goes into Cancer at 10:07 and the conversation shifts to home and family, sparking a swift response. Mercury goes into Aries until May 9. Thinking and conversation can be impulsive although creative. The energy of Aries is provocative, so expect your Aries friend to try to stir things up. Aries will be direct in their verbal approach and presentation of ideas and projects. Libra can expect people to seem to be too abrupt. Cancer and Capricorn experience challenges to your ideas. Leo and Sagittarius enjoy conversations about adventures. Gemini and Aquarius also enjoy fast-moving conversations. Pisces and Taurus are neutral. Virgo and Scorpio adjust to impulsive interruptions. The day is full of the unexpected, so be as flexible as possible.

March 3: The Sun and Moon are getting along well today, so expect general harmony. The water signs of Cancer and Pisces are favored. After lunch there is an opportunity to apply details to your project. However, the Sun and Mars are at odds with each other. There can be opposition between Pisces and Virgo, or between creativity and detail. The creative one in authority is trying to push the intransigent person in charge of the practical details, probably to no avail. Cancer and Scorpio can help lead and stabilize the one in authority, with Taurus and Capricorn helping the one in charge to understand.

March 4: There is tension today in relationships, which could go two ways. Your loved one could want to be independent and go off on their own, or your loved one is pushing you to pay attention to them and neglect your work or duties. This is especially between Aries and Libra, but can include Cancer and Capricorn. This brings the potential for emotional disagreements. The trick is to avoid emotional (re-actions) discussions. The Moon goes into Leo at 18:17 changing the atmosphere to drama or fun.

March 5: Venus goes into Taurus until April 3. This is Venus’ sign, and it operates in the money and sex mode in Taurus. Your loved one may be clingy and a little possessive. Money could be in the forefront of a relationship. This is the time for Taurus to straighten out the checkbook and the house. Scorpio may experience intensity, which is okay as long as control does not enter the relationship, although there could be financial control issues. Leo and Aquarius may experience control issues over money. Virgo and Capricorn enjoy your relationships and have good financial situations. Cancer and Pisces have the opportunity for both good, although quiet relationships, and the opportunity for small financial gains or success. Libra adjusts to financial constraints and Sagittarius adjusts to a relationship becoming too close. Aries and Gemini are neutral. Mercury is teamed up with Uranus today, so expect impulsive, daring ideas that may not be practical. Aries should be careful of presenting something too far-fetched or changing. The Sun and Moon are at odds with each other, so expect minor interruptions all day.

March 6: A day with opportunities to express creativity, plan a vacation or make a small investment. Taurus and Pisces are favored, followed by Virgo, Capricorn and Cancer. Scorpio can benefit if you don’t control too much. The Moon goes into Virgo at 22:25 and the energy is now focused on common sense and analytical detail.

March 7: Just after midnight all is harmonious, but through the morning expect many interruptions. At lunch time common sense and detail go well, especially for Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn. By the end of the day the project is put into action. Pisces may be irritated because of the request for detail, but the water signs of Cancer and Scorpio have the opportunity to offer vision and stability. Gemini and Sagittarius are probably irritated all day because of the demands for what to you is onerous detail.

March 8: Full Moon in the signs of Virgo and Pisces who are the ones most affected and could be very irritated today, followed by Gemini and Sagittarius. The areas of the body involved with this full Moon are the upper intestines, the eyes, feet and lymph. Taurus and Capricorn can calm Virgo, with Cancer and Scorpio helping Pisces. The Moon goes into Libra at 23:49, which you will feel tomorrow.

March 9: The Moon is at odds with everybody today. Libra does not receive much cooperation today. Pisces feels pushed, Aries prefers to be on their own and not cooperate, Taurus wants to control the money that Libra wants to spend, and Capricorn is challenged to leave their work. Libra could be helped by diplomatic Gemini or friendly Aquarius.

March 10: The Sun and Moon are at odds again today, with Libra and Pisces off balance, although it is a day when everybody experiences interruptions. The demand is for cooperation or attention to another. Cancer, Aries and Capricorn are the most affected. Gemini and Aquarius can again bring diplomacy and detachment to the situation. Later in the day people cooperate.

March 11: The Moon goes into Scorpio at 00:24 and the energy is now focused and intense. Adjustments need to be made in the morning, especially between Scorpio and Aries. There are financial negotiations through the afternoon, especially between Scorpio and Taurus, with maybe Leo and Aquarius becoming involved. This is followed by the opportunity for resolution and success, especially with Scorpio, Capricorn and Virgo.

March 12: The Sun and Moon are harmonious, so enjoy the day. Scorpio and Pisces are favored, followed by Cancer, Taurus and Capricorn. Jupiter and Pluto are in harmony exactly today and should bring financial stability from a retracted currency. There could be overtures for peace offered by older, stable countries. These countries could be of the signs Taurus and Capricorn. Countries have birthdays based upon their constitution, so they have signs. The United States’ birthday is July fourth, making her a Cancer country.

March 12: Mercury goes retrograde in the sign of Aries. You know the precautions: not a wise time to sign papers or make agreements. The electrical components of mechanical things go awry. Aries may find yourself more jumpy than usual, and you need to be careful of making promises or agreements that you will not be able to finish.

March 13: The Moon goes into Sagittarius at 01:54 and the energy is now focused on foreign affairs and travel, lightening up from the intensity of Scorpio. Venus and Pluto are in harmony, revealing this is the right time for the financial situation evidenced on March 12 (yesterday) to go forward for a positive resolution. Taurus and Capricorn are favored, followed by Virgo.

March 14: Busy day! There could be a shrinking of the money supply, but it is stable. Working out the details is good today. The quiet person in charge of the analyzation or specifics is working harmoniously in foreign negotiations which could be about money. That same person is successful in long-range planning and perhaps peacemaking. The planets cooperatively involved are Venus, Jupiter, Mars and Pluto. There could be some kind of peace regarding the international nuclear situation. This could mean the Virgo nation takes charge to broker details; the Taurus nation could pull back or stabilize money. Personally if you are a Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn today should be successful, not only for yourself, but you can help all situations. Late in the day there is a quarter Moon in the signs of Sagittarius and Pisces, indicating emotions are out of synch with the practical matters at hand. Sagittarius can be too over-reaching, Pisces could be too unrealistic. This is minor compared with the earthly, common-sense benefits of the other planets.

March 15: The Moon goes into Capricorn at 05:23 shifting the energy to the sensible or practical. The day begins in harmony with a few changes in yesterday’s plans. It ends with a good plan or project that is integrated and agreed upon.

March 16: Thank goodness, a quiet, good day. Capricorn and Taurus are favored followed by Virgo. Emotions are calm and affairs are practical.

March 17: Early there is an opportunity to put the practical and the creative together successfully. Capricorn and Pisces get along. The Moon goes into Aquarius at 11:11, when the energy shifts from only work to include groups. Personally being with friends is good. The day and evening is fun and good for parties, gatherings and doing something a little impulsive. Aquarius and Aries are favored, followed by Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius.

March 18: The person in authority with the creative or ideal project causes the basic plan to be adjusted. Pisces may be pushing Libra, a surprise. The day requires all to adjust to interruptions that may seem to be impractical. This is good to get the focus away from too much work. There is a sudden and unexpected announcement that could be about firearms, the auto industry or about an Aries country. Your Aries friends could unexpectedly announce something unusual. Libra could feel unbalanced, with Cancer and Capricorn experiencing a day full of verbal challenges. Leo and Sagittarius have a great day; Gemini and Aquarius have the opportunity for adventure; Pisces and Taurus are neutral, with Virgo and Scorpio adjusting to the interruptions which may seem audacious.

March 19: The Moon goes into Pisces and aligns with Neptune, Pisces patron planet. Of course, we cannot see that in the sky but the influence is there. Pisces have a wonderful day and today would be good to get away. Virgo may be irritated because of vagueness, Cancer and Scorpio have a good day with creativity. Taurus and Capricorn have the opportunity to help the creative ones ground their project. Gemini and Sagittarius may be irritated, but could join Pisces in an escapist activity and have fun. Aquarius and Aries are neutral; Leo and Libra can adapt to a soft, creative time.

March 20: The Sun goes into Aries, the first day of spring at 00:14. The Sun will join Uranus in the sign of Aries, so the following month could be full of changes. This is the time for Aries to present your good projects and catalyze others, but try not to cause too much consternation for your Libra friends. Cancer and Capricorn enjoy the month of challenges. Leo and Sagittarius can take advantage of being in the right place at the right time for creativity, travel and honors. Gemini and Aquarius have opportunities for unexpected social activities. Libra can expect opposition to any requests for joint projects; your other wants to do it alone. Pisces and Taurus are neutral. Virgo and Scorpio adjust to the catalyzing and could resent not having enough time to think.

March 21: There is direct, challenging communication. The leader is quick and impulsive and may not have all the facts. That is okay, they will come later. Libra can expect blunt speech and possible challenges. Cancer and Capricorn (again or still) have challenging communications. Leo and Sagittarius enjoy the direct, creative ideas. Gemini and Aquarius have the opportunity to be diplomatic and present ideas for the benefit of all. Pisces and Taurus are neutral. Virgo and Scorpio again adjust to impulsiveness. Aries is super-energized today and could antagonize others if you are not careful.

March 22: The Moon goes into Aries at 04:57 and creates the new Moon at 09:37. We now have the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Uranus in Aries. Whew! Be ready for an energized day. Aries is busy initiating things, Libra is experiencing possible opposition, certainly not cooperation. Cancer and Capricorn have a busy, challenging day, but you enjoy this. Leo can administer, Sagittarius can present the foreign aspect, Gemini can help Aries see other points of view and Aquarius can manage the group. Again, Virgo and Scorpio have to accommodate what you think are too-impetuous ideas. Pisces and Taurus are neutral again. By the end of the day, everybody is tired.

March 23: Mercury  backs into Pisces. This will slow the ideas somewhat. Since Mercury is retrograde some of the ideas presented yesterday may have glitches, but will have the opportunity to come to fruition after April 16.

March 24: There is unplanned Aries energy today; expect changes. The same relationships of March 22 apply today and it’ll be busy. The Moon goes into Taurus at 16:43, helping to calm things and bring common sense to the day. Instead of being neutral, Taurus is favored to manage the money and offer stabile and common sense. Late in the day there is an opportunity for the creative project to be funded.

March 25: Good, practical day that favors Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, followed by Cancer and Pisces. Practical projects go very smoothly and the day is relatively quiet. The Moon and Jupiter are together in the sky, so go outside and look up for a beautiful display.

March 26: Discombobulated, off-balance day when you need to adjust to interruptions and accommodate others. The one in authority is expecting too much from the one who handles the details, which irritates the detail person. Communications are not clear and anger the one responsible for keeping things harmonious. Be flexible today and go along with the requests and all will be okay. The Moon, Venus and Jupiter are together in the sky, continuing the beautiful sky show. They are in the sign of Taurus, which both the Moon and Venus love, so expect your love, money and sex to be good even though the practical part of your day may have been off a little.

March 27: The Moon goes into Gemini at 05:42. In the morning someone may not show up, followed by a mild change of plans which are challenged. The Sun and Moon then come into cooperation, with your day ending with the opportunity for your ideas or conversation to be understood and accepted.

March 28: Ideas or talk is not understood and it seems to be a weird day. Remember that Mercury is still retrograde and try not to take it seriously.

March 29: Very challenging day with confrontational situations. The established entity or person is the stronger, so don’t push too hard. The most difficulty is between Aries and Capricorn, followed by Cancer and Libra. There could be war-mongering from an imprudent younger nation. However, communication should be good, with the opportunity for an ideal to be presented and accepted by either a Taurus nation or about money. Personally, use your powers of conciliation to alleviate any confrontation around you. Those who can help today are Pisces, Gemini and Taurus. The Moon goes into Cancer at 18:06.

March 30: Quarter Moon in the signs of Cancer and Aries, who will be the most challenged, followed by Libra and Capricorn. Expect a busy day with the possibly of a confrontation between noon and 1:00 p.m. There is the opportunity for peace in the afternoon.

March 31: A day full of interruptions which you have to accommodate. The leader is obsessed with detail and pushes everyone for such. Money is tight and you need to adapt to that. Late in the evening, it becomes congenial.

General Forecast for February 2012

Remember that Mars is still retrograde; and goes direct on April 13. Mechanical things are still prone to malfunction, such as my broken toaster when the switch to push the toast down stopped working. I have not taken the time to take it apart to see if I can fix it, another Mars retrograde non-happening.

Neptune goes into Pisces again on February 3. Neptune went into Pisces on April 4, 2011 and was there through August 5, 2011, staying at zero degrees Pisces during that time. Neptune will be in the sign of Pisces through March 30, 2025.
