Insight new Ideas and Dams

Venus goes retrograde July 22     Feedback from last week’s forecast about Mars in Virgo, with Virgo stopping procrastination to make decisions to move forward, and Aries adjusting. People are telling me that has happened! Good and hope the forecast was helpful. I personally saw Virgo finally go into action with a long-delayed project. The Moon’s Nodes changed signs July 12. North Node into Aries, South Node into Libra. What does this mean? The North Node symbolizes what we are collectively reaching for or aspiring to. Aries means self-reliance, self-starting, go it alone sometimes, courage and creativity. These qualities may be noticed from May 12 through mid-January 2025, and could cause consternation for those who require partnership. The opposite, the South Node in Libra symbolizes over-reliance on partnerships, meaning doing everything with others and nothing for oneself, appeasement, ignoring the self. We may see relationships and partnerships, both personal, political, religious and international, begin to resist cooperation. How the Nodes through Aries and Libra relate to you depends upon the planets in your chart. A short session with Patty can help you recognize, understand and manage a situation. ·     July 16: no exact astrological aspects, meaning a little like yesterday. ·     July 17: new Moon in Cancer, meaning a good day for Cancer to begin something, and in harmony with Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus and Virgo, but challenging Capricorn to be with family. Challenging circumstances for Aries and Libra, who enjoy challenges. Gemini and Leo neutral, with Sagittarius and Aquarius adjusting to or accommodating family situation. Also, stubborn communication about expenditures, with the extravagant one to let go of control of the situation. Leo and Taurus have communication control issues, and perhaps Scorpio and Aquarius, too. ·     July 18: Moon goes into colorful, dramatic Leo, joining Mercury and Venus. Expensive, beautiful activities, perhaps about women, and a good day for Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, Gemini and Libra. Aquarius expected to pay attention to others; Taurus and Scorpio have control issues about money. Cancer and Virgo neutral. Capricorn and Pisces adjust to demands. ·     July 19: same as yesterday. National Hot Dog Day. Enjoy. ·     July 20: first, Moon goes into Virgo, joining Mars, so expect your Virgo friends to continue moving forward. Also, it is a good day for romance and creativity and to take the day off, especially for Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio and Taurus. However, tension with possible irritation between a detail-oriented project with the details held back. Virgo cannot get Pisces to give information. Irritating day for Virgo Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius. Capricorn and Taurus may help Virgo, with Cancer and Scorpio helping Pisces. National Lollipop Day. ·     July 21: relationship tension between family and career, especially for Cancer, Capricorn, Aries and Libra. Possible confrontation and dispute over who is in charge. This is the ending of years of infrastructure failure, destruction and restoration. Scorpio and Pisces may help Cancer, with Taurus and Virgo helping Capricorn. ·     July 22: the one in authority challenges the balance between cooperation and independence and continuing yesterday’s decision challenges, then the Sun goes into Leo, joining Mercury and Venus, adding a sense of entitlement. The one in authority expects to be obeyed, which may rile Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius. National Day of the Cowboy, which reminds me of my favorite movie, Space Cowboys. ·     July 22: Venus goes retrograde in the sign of Leo, through September 3, 2023, this year. Venus is the patron planet of relationships, romantic affairs, legal agreements and money. The sign of Leo symbolizes luxury, drama, expensive activities, sense of entitlement and expectation of being obeyed. Relationships of all kinds, and especially love affairs, may reveal situations to be corrected, such as exaggerated expectation for attention, spending too much from or about the woman. Luxury purchases prior to today may be unsatisfactory. However, luxury items may be on sale at reasonable prices. Relationships, though, are center stage and may need cooperation to understand what needs adjustment. The Hollywood actors strike may last until September 3 because of unrealistic expectations on both sides, opening the opportunity for new drama series not of Hollywood to come forth. ·     July 22 also: Sun goes into Leo through August 23, joining Mercury and retrograde Venus. the weather may be even hotter! A great month for Leo if the retrograde Venus is honored. Aquarius experiences opposition or demands to pay attention to individuals instead of groups. Scorpio and Taurus have control issues, Aries, Sagittarius, Gemini and Libra enjoy creative activities; Pisces and Capricorn adjust to showy or dramatic encounters. Cancer and Virgo are neutral. ·     July 23: stubborn financial conversations. The extravagant one clashes with the saver, with the extravagant one needing to concede. Leo clashes with Taurus over money or relationship, with Leo – ouch! – needing to relent a little. Aries and Sagittarius may help Leo, with Virgo and Capricorn helping Taurus. Moon goes into Virgo, joining Mars to help Virgo continue their practical projects. National vanilla ice cream day – to take your mind off any clashes. ·     July 24: Like yesterday. The above forecast is general from the relationship of the planets with each other in the sky. Your forecast is likely to be more accurate. A session with Patty the Astrologer is easy; just contact her to arrange for your time.   USA   July 23 is the second date of a wonderful transit phase which began June 8, showing the chance of cooperation between the idealistic and the practical realistic to transform finances for the good of the country. Much of this may be conducted behind the scenes and not in the news until getting to the House Floor. This phase is in effect all of June, July and half of August this year of 2023. Then more is worked on, to be visible around March 22, 2024, again October 2024, through January of 2025. Let us hope this does continue. (We who study the Cayce readings know the first lesson in the spiritual development encouraged by the readings is Cooperation. Let us continue!). The major, outer, planetary relationships with the USA chart are good through 2024, meaning there should be no calamities. However, transiting Pluto will continue to finish the transformation of what we perceive as secure entities, such as those apartment buildings falling apart, unsafe bridges, banks and corporations reaping consequences of insecure practices, which will get fixed by the end of 2024. Another quiet phase begins June 21, indicating stress over the budget, trying to balance the income and expenses. Re-focuses November 26, with the phase ending Feb. 23, 2024.   New ideas and ways for the new age are like a river flowing into a dammed lake, with the dam trying to prevent the new ideas from going forward. The river flows fast, though, and cannot be slowed and quickly pushes the lake water higher and higher against the dam and overflows it or breaks the dam. This means the new cannot be held back by the old. The concrete dam (old ways and ideas) will either overflow or break because of the pressure of the water. In either case, when the time is right for the new ideas, it will come forth, either gently or violently. Can we accept the new gently? The dam can be the symbol for the Age of Pisces, with its ideas and rituals, trying to hold on to them against the rising water of the Age of Aquarius. The rushing water can be symbolized for the new ideas and ways of the Age of Aquarius, the age of Man, inventions, higher abstract ideas and insights. Also, Pisces gets involved with others’ emotions, Aquarius is detached from other’s emotions, and makes decisions based on facts. As you can see in the news, dams worldwide are failing, with the terrain below the dams changed, forcing dramatic change, transformation and reorder, which are nature's eternal cycles. Astrologically, Saturn can be the symbol for the dam, with Uranus the symbol for the quickly rising water, which breaks the walls of Saturn. Neptune comes along and causes confusion to further the disorder, and finally, after sometimes a long time, Pluto brings about transformation and reorder. These are revealed in your chart, both where you would experience these continually, and when the planets show the times of change. The weekend includes the full super-Moon July 3, so be careful! The Full Buck Moon, when the new antlers of buck deer push out from their foreheads in coatings of velvety fur. It was also often called the Full Thunder Moon, thunderstorms being now most frequent. Sometimes also called the Full Hay Moon. Full Moon in the signs of Capricorn and Cancer, who will feel it the most with impulsive changes, as will Libra and Aries. The areas of the body for this full Moon are the knees, bones, skin, breasts and stomach. Taurus and Virgo may help Capricorn, with Scorpio and Pisces helping Cancer.

• July 4: Moon goes into friendly Aquarius, with friends joining the festivities. Have fun, although there may be mild control issues over who manages what, and as usual friendly cooperation brings success. Cancer and Leo are strong, meaning emphasis on both family fun and celebrity activities.
• July 5: Moon still in Aquarius, indicating crowds, or many returning home, creating crowds in airports and highways. Otherwise astrologically quiet. National bikini day. (I was the first to wear one on Chesapeake Bay many years ago.)
• July 6: see-saw or quincunx day when things do not go as expected, asking you to accommodate change, maybe because of the weather. If Leo and Pisces interact, they do not understand each other. Leo may be helped by Aries and Sagittarius, with Pisces helped by Cancer and Scorpio. Moon goes into creative and dreamy Pisces, aggravating the misunderstanding between Leo and Pisces, but bringing creativity to the day.
• July 7: opportunity for good communication or news about money, homes, family and agriculture. Good communication between Cancer, Taurus and Pisces.
• July 8: be a kid again day. This is revealed by Mars and Venus both in Leo, the sign of children and in Leo all month, so you can be a kid every day. Moon goes into Aries, adding to the youthful atmosphere, along with “hurry up.”
• July 9: quarter Moon in the signs of Aries and Cancer, who experience the most impulsive interruptions, followed by Libra and Capricorn. Remember these signs enjoy challenges and interruptions. However, if needed, Leo and Sagittarius may help Aries, with Scorpio and Pisces helping Cancer. Also today, impasse in a plan to fix infrastructure or a plan to transform what is considered a stable and secure entity because of high expense. This could be intense and stubborn. Personally, Leo and Capricorn stuck because of high expense and rigid budget. Aries and Sagittarius may help Leo, with Virgo and Taurus helping Capricorn.
• July 10: Mars goes into Virgo through August 27. Time for Virgo to stop procrastinating and begin their practical, detailed projects. Good month for Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn. Cancer and Scorpio may receive opportunities to be included in Virgo’s projects. Pisces believes they are opposed, when they are only asked to be practical and have facts with detail. Leo and Libra are neutral, Gemini and Sagittarius irritated or even slowed because of the necessity for detailed reports. Aries and Aquarius adjust to the dreaded practical detail. Today Mars is in harmony with the north and south nodes, meaning Mars helps to balance finances, and a harmonious day for Virgo, Scorpio and Taurus.

USA

The same as last week except for the quarter Moon on July 9, which activates the Cluster of Cancer planets. This means changing activity regarding allies, laws and the budget. Since it is a quarter Moon, the challenges may not be settled July 9, going to July 10 when the indications are for calm, practical process.

There is a wonderful transit phase beginning June 8, through and including July 23, indicating the chance of cooperation between the idealistic and the practical realistic to transform finances for the good of the country. This is the weekend and time for America’s July 4, the day celebrating freedom from England’s rule. How can we be free? Americans are freer than many other countries. What I am talking about, though, is personal freedom from what is holding us back, which is usually fear. When I finished the Course in Miracles years ago, I realized it came down to: “If I am not experiencing Love, what am I afraid of”? I taped it on my bathroom mirror for some time until I now ask myself that every time I am irritated with something and was and am amazed at how helpful that is. Try it.
