Go to this site so you can see the sunshine as plasma or energized particles. (Some of you [and me] have your name on the golden disk on the Parker probe. Can we say we are Sun struck?) The site also has a video of the streaming particles. This image from Parker Solar Probe's WISPR (Wide-field Imager for Solar Probe) instrument shows a coronal streamer, seen over the east limb of the Sun on Nov. 8, 2018, at 1:12 a.m. EST. Coronal streamers are structures of solar material within the Sun's atmosphere, the corona, that usually overlie regions of increased solar activity. The fine structure of the streamer is very clear, with at least two rays visible. Parker Solar Probe was about 16.9 million miles from the Sun's surface when this image was taken. The bright object near the center of the image is Mercury, and the dark spots are a result of background correction. Our Sun's influence is far-reaching. The solar wind, its outflow of material, fills up the inner part of our solar system, creating a bubble that envelops the planets and extends far past the orbit of Neptune. Embedded in its energized particles and solar material, the solar wind carries with it the Sun's magnetic field. Additional one-off eruptions of solar material called coronal mass ejections also carry this solar magnetic field — and in both cases, this magnetized material can interact with Earth's natural magnetic field and cause geomagnetic storms. Such storms can trigger the aurora or even power outages, and other types of solar activity can cause communications problems, disrupt satellite electronics and even endanger astronauts — especially beyond the protective bubble of Earth's magnetic field. From Patty the Astrologer If you go to NASA’s site, the picture is much larger, letting you see the particles of sunlight, indicating that your radiation has particles, too, intermingling with others’ particles. The NASA picture of the sun’s streaming is profound to me, letting me see that our radiation is actual substance, with that substance intermingling with others. How does apply this to the Sun/you in your horoscope? The Sun nourishes all life on planet earth, including us. When we bask in the sunlight we are unaware of the energized particles, but they are there. The photo shows that the sunshine is substance. That means sunshine envelopes the earth and us with it is substance, matter or essence. The Sun is the most important “planet” in your horoscope, which represents you. The sign your Sun is in reveals how your life force - sunshine - specifically radiates from you. As you read above, the Sun is so strong, it envelops the entire solar system. Your solar system is symbolized by your horocope, with the planets inside the boundary circle of the zodiac signs. The planets represent your different ways of expression, and the houses they are in show where that expression happens. So... you – as represented by the Sun in your chart – radiate all through your system or life shown by your horoscope. The affect of your radiation is revealed by the relationship the Sun has with the other planets in your chart. All this reveals how you chose to create and experience your soul’s purpose, or contracts, for this lifetime. Now look at little Mercury, the patron planet of communication, which is the white circle in the stream of sunlight. One can wonder how it even exists within the Sun’s stream of energy. But it does, and quite well. You can see in the picture how close Mercury is to the Sun. This means the Sun and Mercury work together, helping you communicate. In working with astrology for over 38 years, I have seen Mercury’s thinking influenced by its sign and relationship with the Sun and the planets. No matter how the Sun and Mercury relate with the other planets: as the Edgar Cayce readings said, “no planet is stronger than the will.” The planets suggest, they do not impel. Two eclipses: Solar or new Moon eclipse on Jan 5 at 15 degrees Capricorn 25 minutes.
Lunar or full moon eclipse on Jan 20-21 at 00 degrees Leo & Aquarius

The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Pluto will all be in Capricorn indicating a month of work, responsibility and consolidation.

Dec 31 New Year’s Eve: Sun and Moon revealing a quiet, intimate gathering good with everyone. However, at 09:19:48 pm ET Mars goes into Aries, with energy becoming much more active and possibly impulsive. Be careful driving.

Jan 1: Moon still in Scorpio.

Jan 2: Sun conjunct Saturn at 11 degrees Capricorn 31 minutes. Today is all about work and responsibility. Capricorn may be directing; Cancer may be pulled between work and family; Aries and Libra have work challenges. Taurus and Virgo enjoy good day about practical things; Sagittarius and Aquarius are neutral; Leo and Gemini adjust to work or responsibility demands. Scorpio and Pisces have opportunity for their projects to be put into practice. Moon goes into Sagittarius.

Jan 3: No exact astrology.

Jan 4: Moon goes into Capricorn. Mercury and Uranus in harmony at 28 degrees Sagittarius and Aries. This is a repeating degree, so if you have this degree in your chart, today will be noticed. How depends upon the details. A lot of creative or new technology communication, the Sun and Neptune in harmony, indicating opportunity for the practical and ideal to cooperate. Jan 4 cont’d: After 10 pm ET Mercury goes into Capricorn through Jan 24 with communication turning serious and work related. Good month for Capricorn to communicate, Cancer feels opposed; Aries and Libra experience challenging communication (or lack of); Taurus and Virgo enjoy good, work-related communication; Sagittarius and Aquarius neutral; Leo and Gemini adjust to work-related or practical conversation. Jan 11: Sun conjunct Pluto at 20 degrees Capricorn 56 minutes; strong Capricorn energy meaning work, responsibility and consolidation. However the Moon is softening the force. Capricorn is again ambitiously directing, with Cancer again experiencing strong relationship issues; Taurus and Virgo have good practical endeavors; Scorpio has opportunity to lend their financial management talent; Pisces believes their creative is accepted; Sagittarius and Aquarius are neutral; Aries and Libra experience challenges; Gemini and Leo adjust to either the practical or consolidation.

Jan 12: Moon goes into Aries.

Jan 13: Mercury is conjunct Saturn at 12 degrees Capricorn 51 minutes, with communication being direct, maybe bossy and very practical. People are talking about work and responsibility. Jupiter is square Neptune revealing much precipitation, devious or vague situations ans possible financial fraud. Sagittarius and Pisces should be especially on guard for things not as they seem, Gemini and Virgo should be on the alert, too. Any financial decisions should be postponed until the situation is very clear.

Jan 13 USA: transiting Jupiter comes out of hiding, meaning conjunct the ascendant. Seems the immigrants come out of hiding and reach the border, further overwhelming resources. As of this writing, Dec 29, immigrants have been released into the USA because there are too many to be accommodated in shelters.

Jan 14: quarter Moon in the signs of Aries and Capricorn who experience the most challenges, followed by Cancer and Libra. The impulsive one is stopped by the practical one or the boss. Leo and Sagittarius can help Aries, with Taurus and Virgo helping Capricorn. After 1 pm ET, the Moon goes into Taurus, calming things. Also today, communication or news is more realistic and practical giving opportunity to clearly interpret yesterday’s situation. Capricorn can help by presenting the down-to-earth facts. 

Jan 15: No exact astrology

Jan 15 USA: last date of the cycle that began March 27 and repeated Oct 2 that I had interpreted as the migrant situation, but could also be the chaos in the White House. Also: there is a new cycle beginning today for the USA which portends political cooperation. This is an opportunity which needs to be offered and accepted for it to be realized. The opportunity is between the Republicans and the Democrats and possibly offered by the Republicans.

Jan 16: harmonious, practical day which should be calm. Great day for Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn., although everyone should be happy. About 8 pm ET the Moon goes into Gemini.

Jan 17: No exact astrology.

Jan 17 USA: strong opposition to the rule of law and possibly foreign ally or foe. It could be strong opposition about the migrants because they are from other countries and can be called foreign. This could also be the death or resignation of a Supreme Court judge.

Jan 18: See-saw morning when things do not go as expected. Moon goes into Cancer after 10 am ET when it should go right again. Creative projects go well and conversation turns to how to make them real. However, there are challenges from the one in authority who wants everything to be realistic and do-able. Young people could be traveling, with the older or responsible ones staying home or in the office to direct.

Jan 19: No exact astrology.

Jan 20: From space.com: “Overnight from Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, into Monday, Jan. 21, millions of people in North and South America will have a prime view of a total lunar eclipse. During a special nocturnal hour, the full Moon will become fully tinted with the red-orange color of sunset. The Jan. 21 total lunar eclipse will be the last one until May 2021; the most recent total lunar eclipse previous to this one appeared in July 2018. Jan 20 continued: the eclipse is at 00 degrees 51 minutes in the signs of Leo and Aquarius who will have the strongest relationship control issues, followed by Taurus and Scorpio. Also, a vague situation when people cancel or don’t show up, difficult for Sagittarius and Pisces, followed by Gemini and Virgo. Seems like it will be one of those crazy days. The areas of the body symbolized by this full Moon are the heart, upper back, calves of the legs with the veins and blood pressure.

Jan 21: challenging day all around for projects; not a good day to rush things because it is stopped by practical reality. Especially difficult for Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Leo and Sagittarius can help Aries, with Taurus and Virgo helping Capricorn.

Jan 22: Moon goes into Virgo. Venus is conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius, indicating a great day for travel, especially for Sagittarius. However, with the Moon in Virgo, pay attention to the details. Gemini may think they are opposed, but they enjoy verbal sparring; Pisces may feel overwhelmed by a lot of activity. Aries and Leo have an enjoyable day. Virgo can help the situation by administering the details. Scorpio and Capricorn are neutral; Cancer and Taurus adjust to a lot of activity, perhaps visits from traveling friends. Libra and Aquarius have opportunity to be included in travel.

Jan 23: see-saw day when things do not go as expected, asking you to accommodate minor changes. Also, challenging communication with directors disagreeing. The radicals or rebels refuse to listen to what is possible. Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn have the most challenges. It is best to postpone decisions.

Jan 24: Moon goes into Libra, with emotions more cooperative. Mercury goes into Aquarius through Feb 10. Good time for Aquarius to express their inventive or group ideas. Leo experiences control issues, along with Taurus and Scorpio. Gemini and Libra enjoy social or plans for groups; Aries and Sagittarius have opportunity to be included; Capricorn and Pisces are neutral; Cancer and Virgo adjust to abstract or scientific communication.

Jan 24 USA: First date of a cycle which repeats Aug 5, concludes Nov 26, 2019. This is major adjustment or change that could be a volcanic eruption (in the NW?). If not an earth change, beginning of adjustments with trade between allies or foes. The first date calls our attention, the following dates show us the processes.

Jan 25: Good day! The new project goes forward and may include travel or interaction with foreign entities; and with the Sun and Moon getting along, cooperation with the group happens. Aries, Sagittarius and Leo have a good day with creativity and no budget constraints; Libra, Gemini and Aquarius enjoy good communication and personal interaction.

Jan 26; No exact astrology.

Jan 27: Moon goes into Scorpio and forms a quarter Moon with Aquarius. Control issues about group finances that could draw Taurus and Leo in. Busy, challenging day. Cancer and Pisces can help Scorpio, with Gemini and Libra helping Aquarius.

Jan 27 USA: almost unnoticeable adjustment to the soul’s purpose of the USA. The north node, or purpose, of the country is Leo, meaning pay attention to the self or Supreme Court law, and less to large groups. However, the nodes try to balance, so perhaps this adjustment will balance the needs of groups with the resources of the country. Leo rules the ninth house of the Supreme Court, so there could be a case that seems minor, which has a balancing effect.

Jan 28: No exact astrology.

Jan 28 USA: last date of the cycle that began March 27 and repeated Sept 17. The migrant caravan began in March, with attention upon the children’s situation, resulting in the previous law being ignored. Perhaps on this date the law regarding the immigration crisis can be adjusted.

Jan 29: Moon goes into Sagittarius; Sun and Mercury in Aquarius. Activities with groups to plan the future. Scientific, mathamatic abstract subject abound today, possibly initiated by Aquarius. Leo may not be obeyed, with Taurus and Scorpio having control issues; Gemini and Libra enjoy a social day; Capricorn and Pisces are neutral; Aries and Sagittarius have opportunity to be included in the group; Cancer and Virgo adjust to the impersonal.

Jan 30: Sun and Moon getting along indicating a good day, continuing yesterday’s communication and activities. Especially good for Aries, Leo and Sagittarius; and Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.

Jan 30 USA: first date of the country’s Saturn square, which repeats Aug 15 and completes Oct 31. In a personal chart this indicates a challenge to what your job or responsibilities would be. According to Rex Bills’ The Rulership Book, Saturn rules or is the patron planet of the Democrats. This situation could be contention between the D’s over leadership. Saturn in the USA chart rules the house of money, so contention could produce a lack thereof, which could manifest as a refusal to fund infrastructure.

Jan 31: New cycle that repeats June 18 and Nov 8. Seems the established one is willing to cooperate with ideals to bring together what can be realized. Capricorn is willing to cooperate with Pisces to establish something realistic. Taurus and Virgo may be included to ground the project, with Cancer and Scorpio invited to add leadership and financial management. Since this is the first date of the cycle, the inkling will be present and needs to be recognized so the opportunity can be in full operation and focused June 18 for completion Nov 8. December j2018 Forecast

Sorry to be so late; this past Mercury retrograde was one of the worst, with all my computer devices malfunctioning. The email provider downloaded over 100 deleted mails from 2015, and the computer itself reverted to a more-than-one previous update. Thankfully, all the documents are default-saved on the separate hard drive so everything of importance is saved. I publish books on Amazon for a friend and Create Space sent everything to Kindle, and was and is not functioning properly. All this means trying to write the December forecast is delayed.

"Raise your hand if you’re in this new photo from #Mars!" NASA wrote in a Dec. 6 tweet. "These two tiny chips contain the names of more than 2.4 million people who signed up to fly with me. We’re ON MARS, you guys. You’re all honorary Martians!"
This means those of you (including me) who signed on to “fly to Mars.”

Happy Thanksgiving to you. I am grateful you for enriching my life with your presence in my life.

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 22 this year, the same day the Sun goes into Sagittarius. Sagittarius and the planet Jupiter are symbols of abundance, learning and travel. Thanksgiving is the time of year for the most travel in the USA.

How will it go? The Sun joins Jupiter and retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius, which foretells a lot of travel. With a retrograde Mercury, you know to expect surprises in your plans. The planets “say” Thanksgiving day itself should be good but may be cold.

Mars, the planet of action, will be in the very wet, emotional sign of Pisces, meaning some plans may not happen or someone just wants to retreat and be alone, With both Mars and Neptune in a challenging relationship with Sagittarius,(although not exact), some invitees may not be able to attend. Be flexible and don’t take it personally. The Moon will be in its exaltation in Taurus, Venus sill be in its own sign of Libra, Saturn will be in its own sign of Capricorn and Neptune will be in its own sign of Pisces. This suggests the day will go well. It could also mean Cancer, Taurus, Libra, Capricorn and Pisces are happy.

Sagittarius should be the catalyst, Cancer may need to adjust plans and also have an important interaction, Gemini should have stimulating conversations, Virgo may be inwardly irritated because of what they consider chaos, allow yourself to enjoy. Libra should be their charming self, Taurus is practically helpful, Pisces is humourously creative and appealing; Scorpio may have a quiet, nice interaction, Leo has a good time if they realize they be flexible, Capricorn brings quiet stability, Aquarius seems neutral, but will help manage the situation if asked and enjoys the day. Aries may stir things up using their humor.

Thanksgiving is early this year. It is usually in the sign of Sagittarius and this year is on the cusp. The Sun does not return to an exact place of birth yearly, it can be a day off. The Sun goes into Sagittarius on Thanksgiving Day 2018  at 04:01:24 a..m. ET. If a baby is born before this time it will be a Scorpio, on or after this time will be a Sagittarius. One of my sisters’ birthday is Nov 22 and she is a Sagittarius. A friend’s birthday is Nov 22 and she is a Scorpio. They are born in different years.

Venus direct & Mercury retrograde Nov 16 2018

Nov 16:  Venus goes direct at 25 Libra 14 and will be at 25 Libra degrees through November 21. Any relationship or financial discomfort may be “fixed” after today. If you have a 25 degree planet, your ascendent or midheaven at 25 degrees, it will be affected. Libra is activated, Aries is asked to be in a partnership, Cancer and Capricorn have relationship or financial challenges; Gemini and Aquarius enjoy social events; Virgo and Scorpio are neutral; Pisces and Taurus adjust to possible relationship or financial situations. This is only if the 25-degree point is activated.

Also, Mercury goes retrograde Nov 16  at 13 Sagittarius 29; at 08:13 p.m., and goes direct Dec 6. Travel plans may go awry during this time, especially for Sagittarius, Gemini and Virgo. If you have plans, triple-check them before leaving and again at arrival. I’ve traveled frequently under a Mercury retrograde and was resilient. The “mishaps” ended up pleasant adventures. USA Mid-term elections - November 6, 2018

Nov 6 The transiting North and South Nodes will have just retrograded (their normal path) at 1;22:32 pm ET into 29 degrees Cancer and Capricorn from Leo-Aquarius, subtly changing the tone. The tone had been focus on large groups and causes, look at me and my own point of view. The tone is now more towards using past responsibility and stability for family or national harmony. Let us hope the south node in Capricorn does not reveal more hate and desire to defeat at all costs. The Democrats are symbolized by Saturn/Capricorn and their past actions may come to light. Perhaps the Cancer north node will bring attention to the family and our nation. The USA is a Cancer country, the sign of the transiting North Node. Since this change is early afternoon Eastern Time, it will be interesting to learn if the tone of the electorate changes.

The long-term background transit or cycle for the USA is that of the Democrats continual opposition to Republicans. Sharp focus dates were Feb 12, June 26, lastly Nov. 12, 2018.

Neptune the confuser is in  a cycle indicating dissolving the borders, rule of law, confusion of the voters, and the Democrats adjusting.

Another cycle is the Democrats trying to change the outcome of the elections.

Nov 6 The mundane or inter-planetary relationships, not related to the USA chart, indicate ease and harmony with a big turnout early; possible disruptions between 5 and 8 pm ET followed by a settling and Democrats leading.

Uranus retrogrades back to Aries late on November 6, indicating changes, more action, and perhaps violence. Very late in the day more emotional outbursts about the election process.

Nov 6: process does not go as expected, possibly because machines malfunction. As the day goes forward, early harmony, then contention then harmony with many women and young people voting, more contention. Then the Moon goes into Scorpio, revealing more serious or introspection about the issues followed by more harmony. Later it seems the Republicans are ahead, but there are more changes. Perhaps the day ends with nothing definitive.

If the counting and controversy continues, the aspects to the USA chart:

Nov 7 reveals mild adjustment to the counting, with nothing resolved.

Nov 8 Looks like the results are contested. However, Jupiter goes into Sagittarius on November 8, favoring the Republicans. At the end of the day, opportunity favoring the presidency.

Nov 9, The Moon reveals times of harmony, stress, opposition, adjustment, opportunity for the Democrats.

If this still goes on Nov 10 shows opposition, some fraud, adjustment and no resolution. However the Moon goes into Capricorn, favoring the Democrats.

Nov 11, Democrats oppose the presidency, activation of crowds or groups, emotional challenge to the presidency, opposition to the Republicans, followed by adjustments.

Nov 12 is the last date of the cycle of the Democrats opposing the Republicans, but mild opposition and the Senate and House votes resolved.

Nov 13 another adjustment or mild change from the Congress.

Nov 14: if the process went to the higher court, it is resolved.

Who wins? It is so close it is hard to call.

Transiting Neptune is focusing on the USA ascendant in what is called a “hard aspect” or challenge. I am interpreting this as the caravan heading toward us. Neptune can be compassionate, confusing, deceitful, victimizing and expect to be taken care of. From what I’ve read in the news, the people in the caravan are escaping horrible conditions in their countries, and are looking to work in the USA, meaning they are not trying to be welfare recipients. However, the numbers in the caravan are overwhelming and cause confusion, both to them, Mexico and the USA. The nation has a choice of being compassionate and accepting them all with blind faith, or use some discernment to avoid having the nation taken advantage of. I am asking for everyone to pray for the highest good of all to come out of this situation. Neptune began its focus March 17 this year, repeated Oct 2 and will end Jan 15, 2019. There is a wonderful cycle representing integration beginning February 2019. More about this later.

Nov 3: USA: in the middle of a week: sharp challenges to the presidency and to the populace.

Nov 6: Moon goes into Scorpio. Harmonious Sun and Moon, indicating a good day for all, but especially for Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer. Virgo and Capricorn can lend practical advice for everyone.

Nov 6: Tues: Uranus retrogrades at 00 Aries until Jan. 6 when it goes direct at 28 Aries 36. For those of you with a planet or point at 28, 29, and 00 degrees, change will be noticed. The retrograde movement backtracks over these degrees, asking you to evaluate what changes are happening - or should be happening - in your life. This is the time to direct the changes. When Uranus goes direct in Jan, and traverses these degrees again through first week in March 2019, the changes should be complete. Remember, if you do not take action and direct the changes, the changes will happen to you without your direction.

Nov 7: Wed: new Moon at 15 Scorpio 11. Good day for Scorpio to reveal plans. Cancer and Pisces will help; Virgo can lend details, Capricorn quiet, practical leadership. Taurus may experience money control issues. Libra and Sagittarius are neutral. Aries and Gemini adjust to intensity or requests for financial accounting. Leo and Aquarius experience a mildly tense day.

Nov 8: Moon goes into Sagittarius.

Nov 8: Thurs.: Jupiter retrogrades at 00 Sagittarius through Aug 11 when it goes direct at 14 Sagittarius 30. The retrograde movement backtracks over these degrees, asking you to re-evaluate areas of expansion, joy or excess. For those of you with a planet or point between 14 and 29 and 00 degrees, use this time to discover what was happening so you can direct or correct. Jupiter represents travel, and if you traveled the previous cycle dates, you probably will travel again. Or... learn something new.

This is an opportunity for an idea to be revisited, worked on, and accomplished after Uranus goes direct Jan 6.

Strong Pisces energy (if Pisces energy can be strong!) and time for Pisces to put creativity forward for acceptance. Your male mate becomes softer and romantic, especially for Cancer and Scorpio. Jupiter is exalted in the sign of Cancer, bringing celestial harmony and friendship between the signs, I am a Cancer and have found friendships with Sagittarius wonderful. Sagittarius and Cancer both love adventure, with Cancer directing Sagittarius’ enthusiasm.

Nov 26: Mon: a Sagittarius day, meaning travel, higher education and higher religion or spirituality. Sagittarius has a great day promoting their ideas or traveling, with Gemini perhaps experiencing their partner “flying away.” Leo and Aries an enthusiastic day. Libra and Aquarius have the opportunity for enthusiastic social events, Scorpio and Capricorn are neutral; Taurus and Cancer adjust to the happy unexpected. INFERIOR CONJUNCTION OF VENUS: This week, something strange and wonderful is happening to the shape of Venus. Telescopes pointed at the second planet show it becoming very large (larger, apparently, than Jupiter) and curving into a narrow crescent. Astronomers call this an "inferior solar conjunction"--when Venus passes almost directly between Earth and the Sun. The event is extremely beautiful, yet dangerous to observe. Venus is retrograde in the sign of Scorpio, joining Mercury and Jupiter, intensifying the Scorpio effect. As Venus retrogrades, it will sextile Saturn in Capricorn, indicating an opportunity to refinance or heal a relationship.

When Venus is retrograde, there can be a re-visiting of relationships. Perhaps someone from the past is in contact. Since Venus is retrograde in Scorpio, there could also be a re-visiting of financial situations, perhaps planning to restructure them. If your relationship is difficult, look to the woman's emotions as being off balance or intense.

This is a good time for Scorpio to further financial plans. Taurus may sense opposition, although if keeping to the practical good business. Cancer and Pisces enjoy good finances and relationships, although early Cancer may feel opposition. Virgo and Capricorn have an opportunity to tweak fiances and renew relationships. Libra and Sagittarius should be neutral, although early Libra may experience challenges with plans. ARCTIC AURORAS LIKELY THIS WEEK: An irregular hole in the sun's atmosphere is spewing a stream of solar wind toward Earth. Estimated time of arrival: Oct. 24th. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras when the gaseous material arrives. A bright full Moon on Oct. 24th will add its luminosity to that of any geomagnetic storm, creating some nice landscape photo-ops around the Arctic Circle. Expect communication disruptions. The energy is coming through Scorpio.
