Solar Return, Progressions and transits

The USA’s birthday is July 4. The solar return for 2018 is active, with the Sun in Cancer in the first house, Pluto in Capricorn in the seventh house, the Moon exactly conjunct Chiron in the 10th house.

The Sun in the first house of the solar return indicates strong, active assertion for the country. The activity seems to be asserting or reasserting the ego and courage of the country and the strength of the office of the president. (Read below for the cautions)

Pluto in the seventh house of the solar return indicates strong interactions with both allies and adversaries. Pluto itself tears down to restructure and Capricorn indicates what was thought secure and structured will be transformed. Seems those treaties and agreements are in the process of being transformed.

The solar return nodes are conjunct their natal positions! This could be an opportunity for the USA to re-establish the reason for being. It is interesting that the north node of purpose is in Leo, the past node is in Aquarius the sign of being lost in the masses. This could mean the USA is to become well known and do for oneself wihotu being bound by past group or mass associations. The south node of the past is at 6 degrees Aquarius, the sign of the USA’s natal Moon. Solar return Mars is conjunct the south node at 8 degrees in the 8th house of financial trade deals. Past trade deals are resurrected to be renegotiated for the good of all parties (Aquarius).

The north node and Mercury are in the second house of money, with Mercury exactly opposing Mars. Oppositions mean one-on-one interactions, and Mars and Mercury love provocation and arguments. The higher good of oppositions is to achieve balance and let us hope the balance is the best for all parties after the public arguments.

The solar return Saturn in Capricorn is in the sixth house of the workforce, indicating steady, secure employment, even for older workers who want to work.

Solar return Jupiter is in Scorpio is in the fifth house of children, movie stars and sports. Scorpio is sex. The sex exploitation of children, movie and sports stars is being brought to light. Since Scorpio also transforms, these situations should eventually be righted. Scorpio also indicates money, so the contracts of movie and sports stars may be re-negotiated. Jupiter rules the higher office of the church, and the sex scandals of priests and bishops are being revealed, and just may reform the celibacy rule.

Progressions July 4, 2018, and are in effect all year:

The progressed Sun is at 13 degrees Pisces, a beautiful trine with the USA natal Sun at 13 degrees Cancer. This indicates harmony and right action from the third house of communication to the seventh house of the public and allies. Hopefully this will happen.

Progressed Saturn is at 3 degrees Scorpio, in a nice trine with natal Venus at 13 degrees Cancer. Progressed Saturn is in the 11th house of friendly organizations trine to the seventh house of allies and adversaries. There could be a measured, steady effort to have long-term, secure good relations with allies and adversaries.

Transiting Mars is conjunct the south node thrice: June 5, July 17 and October 2, indicating ongoing re-negotiations, re-emphasizing the solar return.

The eclipse of July 12 was opposite the solar return Pluto, setting off tense allied talks. The full Moon eclipse of July 27 - at 4 Aquarius 44 - also sets off the solar return nodes attempting to align the country to her purpose.

Transiting Mars direct on Aug 27 is within one degree conjunct progressed Pluto. The USA natal, solar return and progressed Pluto are in Capricorn in the USA second house of money and self esteem, which is obviously in the process of being transformed.

Transiting Saturn is opposing natal Jupiter, Venus, and squaring the midheaven. Not good. Venus is the ruler, or patron planet, of the tenth house of the presidency, and the opposition of transiting Saturn to USA natal Venus reveals continued, sustained opposition and confrontations to the office and the person of the president. This began Jan 15 repeats Aug 10 and ends Oct 2.

Transiting Saturn began its opposition to natal Jupiter Feb 12, repeated June 26 and ends Nov 12. Continued interaction with allies and adversaries, trying to balance responsibility with generosity and is not easy. Since Saturn is one of the death planets, there could be the breaking of relationship with either an ally or adversary. Saturn is transiting the west directing energy into the west, indicating losses.

Transiting Saturn began the square to the midheaven Jan 20, repeats July 31 and concludes Oct. 12. Coinciding with the oppositions fo Venus and Jupiter the presidency seems to be under siege from the population. Since transiting Saturn is in Capricorn, the siege is indicated as coming from old, established, fearful entities living in America,

Transiting Pluto began a square to natal Chiron in Aries, Feb 10, repeated July 7, ends Dec 17 2018. Crisis of self importance or courage in one aspect, and challenges to transform manufacturing in the USA in another.

Transiting Neptune in Pisces began a square to the ascendent in Sagittarius March 27, repeats Sept 17 and goes into 2019. Lots of rain with the possibly of floods and loss. Neptune is transiting the third house of the media, meaning some of news on those dates are incomplete and confusing.

Transiting Neptune in Pisces is quincunx - or see-saw - natal Saturn in Libra. This began March 27, repeats Sept 17 with concludes Jan 28 2019. News continues to confuse, distort or leave out facts related to finances and the office of the president.
