Thank you Veterans of the world and your Families this Veteran’s Day 2019.

You are in grateful prayers here for your service and sacrifice for the freedom of the world. We also salute in gratitude the love and sacrifice of your families, who pray for and support you. We also salute and honor those who anonymously and  bravely risked their lives from behind the scenes to save others and worked to win WWII and the other wars.

My childhood memory is of WWII. I remember the Korean Conflict and the Suez Crises as a young woman, with apprehension the young men would be drafted. One of our friends was on alert to be deployed immediately during the Suez Canal Crises, but that luckily passed. One of our uncles served in the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. His brother, another uncle, got captured the first day he landed in Germany and spent a short time in a prison-of-war camp. If it had not been for the coordinated effort of all the countries to win WWII, the world would be a different place, indeed. Our brother served in Vietnam and currently helps those veterans and works on finding the families of the fallen of Civil War, of which we have relatives who served and have distant relatives (ancestors?)  who fought in the American Revolution.

So, today we solemnly remember all with gratitude for their sacrifices.
