Nightmare Mercury retrograde Sept 2016

This retrograde Mercury is a nightmare! When you have a reading with me your information is confidential, and no one knows you've had reading unless you tell them. Since others' information is not talked about, I'll tell how this weird time is affecting my chart. What is your experience? First of all, Mercury retrograde usually hits electrical or electronics, which are apt to malfunction. That Mercury is retrograde in its own sign of Virgo makes it worse, especially for details and the little nit-picking things. If you are traveling now, be sure to double and triple-check the details and adapt when they change. Your readings are paid by your credit card numbers, which are keyed in on the desktop computer to the entity which processes them. One day it did not work. I tried everything I could, and finally called the entity. Come to find out, they decided they did not use Windows  any more. It would have helped if they had told us. They switched to Android. Well, I have an Amazon Fire Phone and an Amazon tablet, neither of which are an Android that will work with them. The customer service rep wanted to sell me their desktop virtual terminal, that by the way, will work on Windows, but costs $30 a month, plus the credit card fees. That is too much. However, I am happy (so far) with their transactions and security. So, did the research, went on Amazon and found a Fusion 5 tablet with Android 5.1. I put it on the wish list, tried to purchase it, and everything about my Amazon account disappeared! Finally, called Amazon customer service and the man was wonderful. He not only restored everything, but when I asked him if he knew anything about Android, he asked me why. Telling him the saga, he asked me to type a number into the Amazon search box. Lo and behold, it was a Fusion 5 Android 5.1 that had just been put on sale. I quickly purchased it and was happy. The price was much less than paying $30 a month just for service. So, things were not going as expected, but better. To continue: delivery was supposed to be Sunday, and I looked for the package all day. Amazon always emails the tracking information, so I knew it was coming from our local post office and had a note that the package had been left on my front porch. It did not arrive, so I tried, mind you, only tried, to contact USPS to see where it was. It was Sunday, when nobody answers the phone or email, so I had to wait.  Monday I called the local post office and the woman was very nice. She said she would call me back when she traced it. Early afternoon on Monday, I saw the mailman come to the door, waving the little box. I hurried out, asking if that was the package I was anxious about. Yes. It had been delivered a block down from me; the package was on top of their mailbox with the flag up, so the mailman knew to check. Guess the Sunday mailman could not read the very clear address on the box. The tablet hooked up and worked perfectly. A few days later, though, dear Mercury decided to play another trick. When I tried to process another card, it said the location needed to be active, so I learned how to find that and made sure it was on. Did not work. Did this three times and it did not work. Frustrated, I decided to wait until the next day, when it did work. Fast forward to today, the 14th. All of a sudden, the anti-virus will not update because it says there is no internet connection! Huh!? I've been into email and on the web, but Microsoft does not work? This means if you are so very frustrated, realize it is Mercury playing tricks. He is sometimes called the trickster and he is having fun this time. Now to an astrology lesson on the see-saw quincunx that was described above. In the sky, Saturn is at 10 degrees Sagittarius in a square or tense, challenging relationship with Neptune at 10 degrees Pisces. This is the base for the weirdness. Mercury in Virgo creates a square with Saturn and an opposition with Neptune, which is called a T-square. It is the retrograde that causing the havoc, at least we'll blame it on that. For those of you who have had a reading with me, there is a symbol for the aspects, or planetary relationships, in the left column of the date pages you receive. There is a symbol that looks like a see-saw and is called a quincunx. This aspect acts just like a see-saw, with your day going up and down, with nothing going as expected. However, if you can adapt or adjust, it is usually better than expected, as the Fusion tablet turned out for me. The day began not expecting to have to purchase yet another electronic item to add to the collection of desktop computer, laptop, Fire Phone and Fire Tablet, but it turned out better. I had to adapt my day to accommodate things that did not work, find a replacement, adapt to waiting an extra day, etc. By the way, Saturn delays, so it is not surprising the tablet arrived a day late. My chart has natal Mars at 10 degrees Cancer in the eighth house of business finances and is the patron planet of my sixth house of work. Transiting Saturn at 10 degrees Sagittarius is in a quincunx relationship with it. Transiting Saturn is going through my second house of spending and is the patron planet of the the third house of everyday happenings. This quincunx certainly is affecting how I do my work: having had to spend on a necessity for business and disrupting both third-house, everyday activities and sixth-house work. You may ask what transiting Neptune at 10 degrees Pisces is doing to my natal Mars? The aspect or relationship is quietly wonderful. Neptune is transiting, or going through, the fourth house of home and family and in trine or ease aspect with Mars in the eighth house. The fourth house is one of the psychic, spiritual or clairvoyant houses, along with the eighth house, which also reveals the ability to contact those on the other side. The family situation always was, and still is, close and harmonious. The Neptune-Mars trine reveals that my clairvoyance is heightened.  This includes heightened hearing, sense of smell and sense of knowing, all in a good way. Sept 1 through Sept 30, 2016

Mercury is retrograde until the 22nd in the sign of Virgo. When it goes direct it will be  in a wonderful relationship with Pluto, so please be patient with annoyances because they will work out for you after the 22nd.

Sept. 1: New Moon eclipse at 9 degrees Virgo and in a tense relationship with Saturn. Challenges regarding details and travel and between Virgo and Sagittarius, with Gemini and Pisces being brought in. Taurus and Capricorn can help Virgo; Aries and Leo can help Sagittarius. Cancer and Scorpio have the opportunity for practical projects to go well; Pisces can experience demands for being on time and for details. The eclipse throws Aquarius and Aries off balance and is neutral for Leo and Libra.

NASA spacecraft captures rare double eclipse on video.  Solar Dynamics Observatory captured the stunning double eclipse. It was also visible in parts of southern and central Africa. The space agency said early Friday morning Earth completely eclipsed the sun from the satellite’s perspective just as the moon began its journey across the face of the sun. Observers can tell the Earth and the moon apart by their edges: Earth’s is fuzzy, while the moon’s is sharp and distinct. The video clip relased by NASA lasts 34 seconds. Sept. 2, repeats Oct 11.: vague, perhaps disappointing day if you are expecting practical or detail-oriented work; it is a better day for the movies or an escape. Many detail requests from Virgo, irritating Pisces, but Taurus and Capricorn enjoy this. Cancer and Scorpio have the opportunity to cooperate with practical projects; Gemini and Sagittarius are irritated with details requests; Leo and Libra are neutral; Aries and Aquarius adjust to things not as expected.

September 4: From spaceweather.com. The solar wind is flowing from an unusually large coronal hole on the Sun, shown here in an image from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory. Coronal holes are regions in the sun's atmosphere where the magnetic field opens up and allows solar wind to escape. This hole is spewing a stream of solar wind so broad, it could influence Earth's space environment for days to come. High-latitude sky watchers, including those in northern-tier US states, should remain alert for auroras throughout the weekend. For this means the astrological activity is also intensified.

Why are cosmic rays intensifying? The main reason is the sun. Solar storm clouds such as coronal mass ejections (CMEs) sweep aside cosmic rays when they pass by Earth. During Solar Maximum, CMEs are abundant and cosmic rays are held at bay. Now, however, the solar cycle is swinging toward Solar Minimum, allowing cosmic rays to return. Sept 6: Sun and Moon are offering an opportunity for Scorpio and Virgo to cooperate with financial matters and a good day for Cancer, Pisces, Taurus and Capricorn. Today is quietly harmonious and a good to focus.

Sept 7: overall, a good day with harmony and cooperation. Practical details regarding the secure or structured work out well, especially with Virgo and Capricorn and benefits for Taurus. Also, an opportunity to cooperate with established entity to plan for travel or future plans. Good day for Libra and Sagittarius to work together, and for Gemini, Aquarius, Aries and Leo. However Libra adjusts to perhaps Pisces either not showing up or late.

Sept 9: quarter Moon in the signs of Sagittarius and Virgo, who are irritated with each other. The tension today is about the future vs the immediate. Gemini and Pisces are also irritated. Aries and Leo can help Sagittarius, Taurus and Capricorn can help Virgo; Libra and Aquarius can help Gemini, with Cancer and Scorpio helping Pisces. Also today, Mercury is at odds with Uranus, meaning communication about detail needs to adjust to a new idea not yet fully developed. Virgo is unsuccessfully pushing Aries.  This is a repeat of August 19 and will repeat again Oct 6.

Sept 9: Jupiter goes into Libra through October 10, 2017. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, freedom, travel, higher education (both secular and religious). Libra is the sign of cooperation, marriage and legal agreements, working with the public, allies and enemies. This year of Jupiter traveling through Libra should bring a release to Libra, freeing the details that were the base for this coming year. Gemini is in the right place at the right time to accept offers to smooth relationships, have a good year in sales and to take the initiative to communicate. Aquarius is in the right place at the right time to manage new or larger groups, make new friends and make future plans. Aries experiences a year of relationship focus, with others demanding that you cooperate instead of being so independent. Leo has the opportunity to expand and to enjoy more social life; just try not to be too extravagant. Sagittarius has expanded travel opportunities, perhaps with a partner. Cancer and Capricorn are challenged to expand activities, meaning a busier year, with less time for details. Virgo and Scorpio are neutral. Taurus and Pisces adjust to circumstances not being what is expected because of directed activity.

Sept 10: Saturn and Neptune are not getting along, meaning that practical plans are thwarted. The older, or business-minded person is trying to push the creative one, to no avail. Wait a few days. This is a repeat of June 17, 2016. Sagittarius and Pisces are irritated with each other, as are Gemini and Virgo. Aries and Leo can help Sagittarius; Cancer and Scorpio can help Pisces.

Sept 11: challenging tension between Libra and Capricorn, with Libra wanting to spend more than Capricorn “would allow.” Diplomacy or cooperation is challenged to be more realistic. Aries and Cancer can be drawn in. Gemini and Aquarius can help Libra, with Scorpio and Pisces helping Cancer. However, the Sun and Moon are harmonious, urging Capricorn to a be little softer and more cooperative. Capricorn and Virgo work well together, so the better part of today can be practical and work-oriented.

Sept 12: Mercury is repeating its challenge of August 25 and will repeat again Oct 19. Challenging, irritating communication with arguments over details. There could be disagreements involving either Sagittarius or travel. Be careful making travel plans because they are subject to change because Mercury is still retrograde and in this challenging aspect. Virgo is strongly demanding, setting off Pisces in particular, followed by Gemini and Pisces. Taurus and Capricorn can help Virgo. Pisces may just escape.

Sept 13: another challenging day, with the challenges of yesterday stronger and more emotional. Virgo and Sagittarius are not getting along again, with Gemini and Sagittarius again irritated. Taurus and Capricorn help Virgo, Aries and Leo help Sagittarius, Libra and Aquarius help Gemini. A lot of Virgo energy today, which is normally compatible with Cancer and Scorpio, but it is too irritating even for them.

Sept 14: a see-saw day, full of unexpected minor interruptions, asking you to adjust to others. If you can be flexible, the day turns out better than expected.

Sept. 15: the see-saw continues but is a stronger. New ideas or change adjusts to the reality of the details. Remember Mercury is retrograde, and those pesky details need a lot of attention. Especially affected today is Aries.

Sept 16: full Moon eclipse, at 24 degrees Pisces and Virgo. If you have a planet or point in your chart at 23, 24 or 25 degrees, this will be noticeable. Uranus is at 23 degrees Aries adding energy to the eclipse - if - this impacts your chart. Mars will be at the degree of the eclipse on Sept 19 in the sign of Sagittarius, which will challenge the energy.  A full Moon brings out the emotional natures of people and this may be a little stronger, with Virgo and Pisces disagreeing, bringing Gemini and Sagittarius into it. The energy is unstable and irritating and not conducive to making decisions. The areas of the body associated are the eyes, feet and upper colon, experienced as stomach irritations.


Sept 16 through the 19th: Venus, Mars and Uranus will be in the same degree as the eclipse. The signs involved are Aries, Libra and Sagittarius, so persons of these signs will be influenced, mostly with opportunities for good activity with a little change. Libra gets bad press about not making decisions or being too diplomatic, but I find Libra to be a decisive, daring leader and these are good days for Libra to initiate. Aries may be asked to cooperate instead of going it alone, but will be happy to do so.

Sept 20: the eclipse energy has dissipated, and today is nice and calm. The earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn enjoy a great day, followed by Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Mercury in Virgo is in trine with Pluto in Capricorn, indicating communication is practical and cooperative. This energy is in effect through the 23rd. However, Mercury goes direct tomorrow, so if you can, put off signing documents until after the 22nd.

Sept 22: Mercury goes direct at 01:30:30 am ET. Yay! Review your detail-oriented documents for mistakes and to be signed perhaps tomorrow, the 23rd when communications are favored. If documents had to be signed under Mercury retrograde, review them now.

Sept 22: the Sun goes into Libra at 10:21:04 am ET, the fall equinox and first day of Fall. This is Libra’s month to initiate. Aries may experience demands for cooperation, with Cancer and Capricorn challenged to more activity. The Sun has joined Jupiter through Oct 22, adding to Libra’s expansiveness and to the others’ challenges. Gemini and Aquarius enjoy a month of social plans and good communication. Virgo and Scorpio are neutral. Taurus and Pisces adjust to active and relationships.  Leo and Sagittarius have opportunities to cooperate and enjoy social life.

Sept 23: quarter Moon in the signs of Cancer and Libra, who are challenged, followed by Aries and Capricorn; most likely with family situations. Aside from the quarter Moon, communications are excellent, so concentrate on practical details and all will be smooth.

Sept 23; Venus goes into Scorpio through Oct 18. Your loved one is more intense and may be a little stubborn, at least focused. Scorpio is focused on managing investments and intense love. Taurus experiences financial control situations. Leo and Aquarius experience control issues. Cancer and Pisces enjoy a close love life and good finances. Virgo and Capricorn have opportunities for financial investments and love interests. Libra and Sagittarius are neutral. Aries and Gemini adjust to your loved one being closer than you like and maybe focused on finances.

Sept 25: harmonious day, especially for Leo and Libra, followed by Aries, Sagittarius, Gemini and Aquarius. Everybody else has a peacefully good day.

Sept 26: good day for Libra to initiate, but don’t push Aries too far. If you need to, ask Gemini for communication help. Cancer and Capricorn may feel challenged, but are up to it. Gemini and Aquarius have a good day, Leo and Sagittarius enjoy the opportunity for a directed social event. Virgo and Scorpio are neutral; Taurus and Pisces adjust to the day not going as expected because of directives from others. Pluto goes direct today at 14 degrees Capricorn 55 minutes, which is within one degree as Mercury direct. These two planets are in harmony, so it is a good day for communication of long-range plans or agreements.

Sept 27: Mars goes into Capricorn through Nov 9th. Mars is exalted in Capricorn, meaning it operates well because the energy of Mars is channeled into practical projects. This time is excellent for Capricorn to initiate well-thought-out plans. Cancer may feel challenged to balance work and family, or experience opposition from a co-worker or boss. Aries and Libra are challenged to produce. Taurus and Virgo enjoy good relationships and nice progress with projects. Scorpio has opportunity to achieve what they want; Pisces has opportunity for support with creativity. Sagittarius and Aquarius are neutral. Gemini and Leo adjust to a more structured, practical month.

Sept 30: new Moon in the sign of Libra, indicating a great day for Libra, and a challenging one for Aries, Cancer and Capricorn.  Gemini and Aquarius enjoy a good social day; Leo and Sagittarius have the opportunity for social time; Virgo and Scorpio are neutral; Taurus and Pisces adjust to more directed activity.

Mercury, the Sun, Jupiter and the North Node are all in the sign of Virgo, so this retrograde Mercury time should be noticeable. In addition, Saturn and Mars are in Sagittarius, with Neptune and the South Node in Pisces. These planets are in a restless, irritable relationship with each other and reflect the instability we are experiencing.

There are the usual cautions about signing contracts and care in travel. Expect changes in travel plans because the details are changed. As I’ve written before, I’ve often traveled under a retrograde Mercury, and indeed, the plans are changed, but for the better. If you are expecting glitches, you can treat it as an adventure.

Virgo will experience this the most because details can be delayed, incorrect or missing. Virgo may push for details and receive resistance, especially from Sagittarius and Pisces. Taurus and Capricorn can help Virgo.

Neptune in Pisces is in a challenging relationship with Mars and Saturn in Sagittarius, meaning that Sagittarius can be disappointed with situations and perhaps with people not showing up or being unavailable. Pisces may escape by disappearing. Aries and Leo can help Sagittarius, with Cancer and Scorpio helping Pisces.

The Moon will be in Leo, with Leo offering creative, firm management and stability. Venus will be in Libra, offering diplomacy, cooperation and leadership. If Leo and Libra would work together, the instability and grouchiness can be alleviated. Uranus is in Aries, indicating that Aries can offer a quick, unusual solution, working well with Leo to help Sagittarius.

Gemini can either use their ability to communicate all facets of the situation or stir things up with verbal quips: it is their choice. There is tension between Gemini and Sagittarius, with Sagittarius the stronger at this time.

Cancer can work with Scorpio to soothe emotions and to help Pisces. Capricorn can work with Taurus to give quiet leadership and financial help to Virgo. Aquarius is a group leader and can offer group management if they are not pressured to obey by Leo.

Italy, Burma quakes, 8/24 Louisiana Flooding, Vesuvius eruption, 8/24/79 California wildfires

On the anniversary of the Mount Vesuvius eruption of 70 AD or CE, high-magnitude earthquakes hit Italy and Burma; California is burning and Louisiana is experiencing unprecedented floods. All these disasters are devastating what they touch. The news reported that the town of Amatrice, Italy is devastated, as are the pagodas in Burma. The flooding and fires here in the USA are so severe, recovery will be difficult or maybe even impossible. People in all these areas have lost everything. 

When Mount Vesuvius erupted cataclysmically in the summer of A.D. 79, the nearby Roman town of Pompeii was buried under several feet of ash and rock. The ruined city remained frozen in time until it was discovered by a surveying engineer in 1748. The same Virgo stellium, or many planets together in the sign of Virgo, is in the chart of the Vesuvius eruption. In the year 79, when Vesuvius erupted, the planet Neptune was stationery in the fire sign of Sagittarius and in stressful relationship with the Virgo planets. Even though Neptune was not rediscovered yet, it was still effective.

What do these natural disasters have in common? All of these happened during Virgo time, with five planets in the sign of Virgo, an earth planet. For some time, we astrologers have been writing about the current unstable planetary configuration, which affects the entire globe.

August 24, 2016, the planets Mars and Saturn are conjunct (beside each other) in the fire sign of Sagittarius, in a challenging relationship with Neptune in the water sign of Pisces and in stress with the Sun, the Nodes, Venus, Jupiter and Mercury in the earth sign of Virgo. This reveals that the earth is challenged by water and fire.

Saturn and Mars are very strong when working together, and today they are exactly together at 9 degrees of Sagittarius in square, or challenging, relationship with Neptune at 10 degrees Pisces. The planets Mars and Saturn will be conjunct and in square, or challenging relationship, with Neptune through the third week of September, 2016 this year.

In addition to the above, Uranus, in the fire sign of Aries, is setting the Virgo planets off with a quincunx configuration. In a personal chart, this means a need to adjust to unexpected changes you have no control over. The nodes today are in stationary mode, which intensifies action.

Aug 1: Good, busy day with pleasant change, with affairs going smoothly and settled. Good especially for Leo and Aries.

Aug 2: Mars goes into Sagittarius through the end of September. Stalled projects go forward, especially for Sagittarius. Gemini experiences opposition, possibly manifested as arguments. Virgo and Pisces experience very fast situations. Good month for Leo and Aries to finish projects. Cancer and Taurus adjust to life speeding up a little and to changes. Libra and Aquarius have the opportunity for interaction with travel or plans for the future. Scorpio and Capricorn are neutral.

Aug 2: New Moon in the sign of Leo, indicating good for Leo to get moving with creative projects and perhaps vacation plans. Aquarius could experience opposition over who is in control, with Taurus and Scorpio experiencing financial control issues. Aries and Sagittarius have smooth, fun times. Gemini and Libra have the opportunity to be included in grand social affairs. Cancer and Virgo are neutral; Capricorn and Pisces adjust to things not going as expected, but the change is better.

Aug 3: An irritating day for Leo and Pisces, who are not seeing eye to eye. Aries and Sagittarius can help Leo; Cancer and Scorpio can help Pisces.

SUMMERTIME AURORAS: As expected, a high-speed stream of solar wind (with a CME embedded in the flow) hit Earth's magnetic field during the late hours of Aug. 2nd.  The resulting G1-class geomagnetic storm sparked bright auroras across countries in Europe as well as several northern-tier US states. The show might not be over. NOAA forecasters estimate a 55% chance of similar storms on August 3rd as Earth continues to feel the effects of the solar wind. Aug 4: Moon goes into Virgo. The day is irritating or grouchy for Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini and Pisces. Any disagreements are minor.

Aug 5: Venus goes into Virgo through Aug 29, indicating a nice month for Virgo, who may soften and be more expressive. Good month for Taurus and Capricorn, who enjoy good working conditions and love life. Cancer and Scorpio have the opportunity for quiet, light financial gain or a surprise affection. Pisces may be piqued because of request for detail; Gemini and Sagittarius can be irritated by too much detail or work; Leo and Libra are neutral; Aquarius and Aries are thrown a little off balance because of lack of communication.

Aug 6: Moon goes into Libra. Testy day between Virgo and Sagittarius, with Virgo pushing for detail which Sagittarius does not enjoy. Taurus and Capricorn can help Virgo, Aries and Leo can help Sagittarius.

Aug 7: Communication is vague and incomplete; not a good day to make decisions. If communication is not happening, let it go because all the facts are not available.  Especially irritating today for Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. However, the Sun and Moon are getting along, meaning emotions are good and you basically have a good day. Aug 10: Quarter Moon in the signs of Scorpio and Leo, who have control issues, bringing Taurus and Aquarius into the mix. A day full of change, but communication of practical matters is excellent. This is the day for Virgo to present a financial consideration to the "financial controller." Also good for Capricorn and Taurus.

Aug 11: Moon goes into Sagittarius and is conjunct, or beside Mars. Great day for Sagittarius to initiate a project. Easy day for Aries and Leo, too. Gemini may experience mild opposition and can expect help from diplomatic Libra. Virgo and Pisces experience circumstances going too fast; Cancer and Taurus adjust to the unexpected; Libra and Aquarius enjoy the opportunity for travel. Scorpio and Capricorn are neutral.

Aug 12: Busy day with mundane tasks.

Aug 13: Jupiter and Uranus are at odds with each other, indicating a day of things not going as expected, especially for Virgo and Aries. There could be an unexpected happening related to freedom or revolution. Saturn goes direct a 9 degrees Sagittarius 46 minutes. If you have a 9 or 10 degree planet or point in your chart, this will be noticed. Venus and Saturn are in a challenging relationship, revealing financial and love life are not perfect. Aug 16: Good day with easy change and fun. The fire signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are favored today.

Aug 17: Love life and finances are better regarding practical matters. Virgo and Capricorn are favored, followed by Taurus.

Aug 18: Full Moon eclipse exact at 05:42:00 am ET in the signs of Aquarius and Leo. The degree is 25 degrees 52 minutes. If you have a 25 or 26 degree planet or point in your chart, it will be activated; how depending upon the aspect or relationship. This full Moon indicates stubborn financial control issues; with Aquarius and Leo in opposition; Taurus and Aquarius experiencing control issues that are not personal. The areas of the body focused with this full Moon are the heart, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and the calves of the legs.

Aug 19: Much communication that changes almost hourly; information is not good for making decisions.

Aug 22: Communication clears up from yesterday, with a lot of detail. Good day for Virgo to present, with Taurus and Capricorn experiencing clear, practical ideas. However, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius should be prepared to have details ready.

Aug 22: The Sun goes into Virgo through September 22. This is Virgo's month and is good for Virgo to stop procrastinating and put ideas and projects forth. Taurus and Capricorn can help and they enjoy a good month.. Pisces experiences opposition in the form of requests for detail and to be practical. Cancer and Scorpio have opportunities for successful detail-oriented tasks. Gemini and Sagittarius experience situations filled with practical tasks. Leo and Libra are neutral; Aries and Aquarius may be asked to produce unexpected detail, but their creativity and people skills can make the situation better.

Aug 24: Mars and Saturn have joined in the sign of Sagittarius, pressing them to activate a project, either future-oriented or travel. Aries and Leo experience a good day for goals. Gemini experiences opposition, with Virgo and Pisces having a day of interruptions. Taurus and Cancer adjust to a day with the unexpected. Scorpio and Capricorn are neutral; Libra and Aquarius have the opportunity to join the activity.

Aug 26: Weird day. Minor interruptions, plus unsatisfactory situations because either people do not show up and plans are delayed or lost. Virgo is the most frustrated and irritated, followed by Pisces and Aries.

Aug 27: Much better day, especially for practical affairs and detail. Excellent day for Virgo, who is soft and generous. Taurus and Capricorn have a nice, smooth day. Cancer and Scorpio have another opportunity for successful, mundane tasks. Gemini and Sagittarius experience irritations, with Pisces feeling pushed. Aries and Aquarius are not really pleased with the detailed tasks; Libra and Leo are neutral.

Aug 29: Pleasant communications. Virgo is loving and may receive a loving gift.

Aug 30: Mercury goes retrograde until September 22 in the sign of Virgo. Mercury is the patron planet of Virgo, who may experience frustration during this time. Details are not forthcoming, plans get lost or delayed and travel is difficult. Mercury is the patron planet of the written word, contracts and agreements, so it is not a good time to sign anything now. Details are omitted and are revealed after Mercury goes direct September 22. Travel is difficult because details are omitted, or the fine print was ignored. Historically, printers, computers and other electronics malfunction under a Mercury retrograde. This time the culprit would be a tiny, necessary piece. If you are a Virgo, this will be especially irritating. Pisces will not necessarily notice the lack of detail, but Gemini and Sagittarius can be irritated because of snafues regarding social affairs and travel. Taurus and Capricorn can help with the practical aspects; Cancer and Scorpio helping with emotions and organization. Aries and Aquarius experience little things not going as expected, but can adjust. Leo and Libra are somewhat neutral, but still experience the Mercury retrograde glitches.

Sept 1: looking forward to the eclipse in the sign of Virgo: this will accentuate Mercury going retrograde and activate everything Virgo, meaning all the above is re-emphasized.

Full moon July 19 2016

Full Moon in Cancer July 19 at 7 pm ET.

Sorry I’ve been offline; it is as crazy here as it is with you.

To add to the craziness of a full Moon, the relationship between Mars and Uranus continues to be unstable, along with unstable, challenging circumstances with Neptune, Saturn and Mercury.

The full Moon is in the signs of Capricorn and Cancer, meaning people of these two signs experience exaggerated emotions. Aries and Libra experience challenging circumstances, possibly involving their Cancer and Capricorn friends. These signs are impulsive in nature, so be aware they may be more so today. The tension is between family and work. Taurus and Virgo can help Capricorn; Scorpio and Pisces can help Cancer. The areas of the body affected by this full Moon are the knees & bones, and the stomach & breasts.

Mars in Scorpio went direct June 29 and the world has been reeling with violence since; the pent-up energy has exploded. This is perhaps also reflected by the unstable relationship between Mars in Scorpio with Uranus in Aries. Mars is very strong and “poking” the radicals who want revolution. Personally, the signs affected are Aries and Scorpio, both of which are continually adjusting to things not being as expected and need to adjust.

The square with Saturn and Neptune is joined by Mercury today, revealing an attempt to communicate solutions which require a shift in perception and adjustment to circumstances to make it work. The signs involved are Leo who is attempting to communicate, but Leo needs to acknowledge other points of view to succeed; Capricorn, who can accept the communication which will be more creative than Capricorn is used to; and Pisces who needs to adopt a more practical outlook. However, Capricorn, Sagittarius and Pisces are not seeing eye to eye now, with Capricorn unusually unsettled. This is unstable and will be unstable through the end of September 2016.

The Moon indicates a sudden, short-lived change around 1 pm ET, and again involves Capricorn and Aries, with Cancer and Libra maybe being drawn in. However between 3 and 4 pm ET, the Moon offers a good opportunity for Capricorn and Scorpio and may be financial regarding a project.

The day ends between 8 and 9 pm ET with the communicator throwing the over-idealist one a curve. Leo could be asking that Pisces realize circumstances are not what was expected, but it is better. Good for a creative, possibly romantic escape.

May your Fourth of July bring you personal freedom and joy, and an appreciation of the freedom and tolerance of the USA, notwithstanding the media reports.

Fourth of July is the USA’s birthday and is in the sign of Cancer. Yes, countries live under an astrology sign, just like people do.

Before the California drought, the USA was the breadbasket of the world, feeding many, a true Cancer trait. The Cancer energy is motherly and wants to feed and care for others like a mother. Cancer is a soft sign on the surface, but when pushed too far, becomes very strong, creates change and then leads, even if it takes a while.

The Moon of the USA is in Aquarius, the sign of freedom, independence, equality and acceptance of those different from ourselves, again even if it takes a while. The Moon  and Sun are in an uncomfortable relationship (quincunx), meaning continual efforts to balance. It also means that circumstances are not always as they seem, but they end up better.

The ascendent of the United States is in the sign of Sagittarius, representing the diversity of the population resulting from immigration. Sagittarius is also the sign of personal freedom, freedom of religion, tolerance and higher education.

A personal note an about our family and immigration: our mother was an Irishwoman who immigrated through Ellis Island with her entire family. This makes us first-generation Irish-Americans. We went to grade school where we students were first-generation Irish-American, Italian-American and American. There are four siblings; three of whom married Americans, the fourth a man of another religion. Now for the interesting part: one niece married a first-generation Korean, her brother married a first-generation Russian; another niece married a Mexican; another niece married a first-generation Italian. We all are okay, with good lives and jobs, we are not rich, but we are happy. Only in America are we so blessed. So, on July 4, let us bless our ancestors and raise a glass to them, who immigrated under hardship, created a great and free America that they passed along to us. 



SOME ASTROLOGY TALK

The Solar Return of the country indicates uncomfortable responsibility for the population. There is also an indication of stress regarding national borders, resulting from over-idealistic ideas that will be challenged this year of 2016. Thre is a need for common-sense, practical application of energies this year, which will be successful if adhered to and communicated. This includes finances and foreign trade. There is an indication of secret dealings behind the scenes, which may be revealed after the middle of this month of July 2016. The country will be in the public spotlight for about three months, with attention on legal dealings, agreements with allies and enemies. The press or media can bring good news if they will be truthful and compassionate.

The world is experiencing Saturn in Sagittarius in a square with Neptune in Pisces. This reveals stressful, unstable  circumstances regarding the border situations, with countries trying to restrict immigration. Saturn was conjunct the USA ascendent early February this year, early May and lastly, exactly on November 9, the but in effect for several days before and after. This reveals the financial restrictions or responsibilities the population is experiencing.

USA Supreme Court Ruling and Brexit.

As many of you know who interact with me frequently, I have been writing that the world is experiencing much change as revealed by the outer planets. Revolutions began March of 2011 going through about the end of April 2016 when the exact degrees began to wane. Now the tension is between the idealistic and the real. This is detailed in my newsletter, please click here to read. The word adjustment is used in this article. When you are advised to adjust in your reading, this means things do not go as you expected and you adjust to the change, which is usually better. The same applies to nations.

We have just witnessed more change with the USA Supreme Court tied 4-4, ruling  that President Obama’s Executive action on immigration was unconstitutional and unlawful and affirming affirmative action on June 23, and BREXIT, which is official on 24 June at 08:00 BST.

What do the planets say about these two important happenings? Overall, the planets show stability regarding careful, practical situations, combined with adjusting energies between law and order and the desire to be free. There is tension and discussion about over-idealistic ideas. The challenge of the unstable financial situation of the world must be dealt with common sense, with all parties participating.

The Supreme Court decision reveals it strengthens the USA legal system and public relations. The US continues the adjustment between law and order and freedom until the end of July of this year. The settling of law and order is good news for the financial sector, including investments and health care. This same law and order situation is an opportunity for the ideals of the US, especially the higher courts and immigration to realize gentle rule of law. The planetary configurations are close the USA’s Solar Return Chart, which will be published in a few days.

BREXIT to Great Britain reveals the same overall adjustments. However, the general population will adjust to greater personal freedom and younger people to the financial reality of their treasury. There may be tense circumstances because of financial control issues. It seems there will be controversy and loud conversation over immigration, especially from the young, but this is temporary.

Astrology detail:

A note to those of you interested in astrology: conservatives are ruled by Saturn and Capricorn; liberals by Jupiter and Sagittarius. Now in the sky, the conservative planet Saturn is in the liberal sign of Sagittarius, and the liberal planet Jupiter is in the somewhat restrictive and careful sign of Virgo. Virgo is also the sign of the environment. These two are in conflict with each other.

The planets Pluto, Uranus and Saturn were in a t-square in the sky during the revolutions from 2011 to now. This has waned somewhat. Now Jupiter is in trine with Pluto, indicating financial stability and good crops. However, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune are in the t-square, indicating instability and confrontation, possibly triggered by the religious sector, which is ruled by Neptune, in its own religious sign of Pisces, the strongest of the t-square. However, the combination of Jupiter and Neptune in a challenging aspect also reveals bad weather with a lot of rain.

Mars has been retrograde since April 17 in the sign of Scorpio and goes direct June 29. The release may realize a rise in oil stocks or oil exploration, but Mars continues to reveal the adjustments or accommodations between law and order and freedom until about the middle of August.

Is the irritating t-square in the sky still in effect?

I am receiving phone calls asking it the T-square is still effective. In the sky, the planets Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune are in challenging relationships with each other. What this means to you is instability or changing, fluid circumstances.

This is already June 13, and one of the strong dates was June 3, 4 and 5. The next focus dates willl be June 20 and 21, then it wanes when the Sun, Mercury and Venus go into the sign of Cancer.

Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces born between the third and sixth of their respective months continue to experience changes. Virgo and Pisces, especially, have relationship irritations because of the tension between practical detail and the ideal which may be unrealistic. Sagittarius can be irritated because of the need for detail, which they don’t enjoy, and vagueness or dissolving plans.

The situation with Virgo began to wane June 9, with challenges continuing between Sagittarius and Pisces through September 2016 and then wanes.

What is indicated is that what is considered stable and secure is being stirred up to accept freedom and change. This change can ease into place beginning the end of December when Saturn and Uranus are friends again, or in a trine relationship. This is good news for Sagittarius and Aquarius, especially, who enjoy change. Worldwide, this means the new may replace the outworn or outdated.

Mars goes direct June 29th.

All month Neptune in Pisces, Saturn in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Virgo form a T-square in the sky. These signs are restless and changeable, indicating a month of continual changing of plans. Neptune is in its own sign of Pisces and could be the strongest of the three, indicating vagueness and possible disappointing circumstances. Jupiter does not enjoy being constrained in detail-oriented Virgo and Saturn does not enjoy the spontaneous nature of Sagittarius. This results in tension and incomplete and changing situations. Jupiter and Neptune form the opposition of this T-square, meaning confused communication between Virgo and Pisces, with Sagittarius trying to keep the peace, but the situation is too fluid.

The best way to handle this is to be flexible, realize any information is incomplete and cooperate to the best of your ability. The signs which can help are: Cancer and Scorpio for Pisces; Taurus and Capricorn for Virgo; and Aries and Leo for Sagittarius. 

The weekend of June 4th and 5th looks very busy, with social plans changing and unstable. The Sun and Venus have joined the others to form a grand cross in the mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. Busy and changeable indeed.

June 4: The new Moon is June 4, exact at 10:59:33 pm ET, emphasizing the grand cross, so be prepared for mild unexpected happenings.

June 5: Moon goes into Cancer, mellowing things a little.

June 6: (D-Day) the Sun joins Venus in Gemini, and should be a very nice day for Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Aries and Leo should have the opportunity for a nice time, with Sagittarius experiencing challenging conversations.

June 7: iffy day with Gemini and Capricorn off-balance with each other. The established ones are irked with younger ones trying to make changes. Your day does not go as expected and the unexpected could be better.

June 8: Moon goes into Leo.

June 9: Mercury is at odds with Mars. The younger one is stubbornly challenging the money manager, resulting in financial control issues. Taurus and Scorpio experience control issues, followed by Leo and Aquarius. Virgo and Capricorn can help Taurus; Cancer and Pisces can help Scorpio.

June 9: the Sun and Moon are getting along, adding harmony if the opportunity is taken by all. A good day for Leo and Gemini, followed by Aries and Sagittarius; and Libra and Aquarius.

June 10: Moon goes into Virgo.

June 11: the morning is unsettled; but the afternoon results in successful practical projects.

June 12: quarter Moon in the signs of Virgo and Gemini, who may be contentious or grouchy today. Detail-work is not enjoyed. Unsettled day for Gemini and Virgo, followed by Sagittarius and Pisces. However:

June 12: Venus and Uranus create an opportunity for the unexpected, which if accepted could bring new friends or an old flame into your live. This may not be long-lived, but fun. Gemini and Aries are the catalysts, with Libra, Aquarius, Leo and Sagittarius having a good day.

June 13: expect the mild unexpected. If you are in a romance, it may not be totally satisfactory, but this is mild and only for today. Be flexible. Gemini and Scorpio do not see eye-to eye, but they don’t anyway and this is mild. Libra and Aquarius can help Gemini; Cancer and Pisces can help Scorpio.

June 14: the Sun and Uranus bring the opportunity for new friends and experiences, especially for Gemini and Aries, followed by Libra, Aquarius, Leo and Sagittarius. Have fun today.

June 15: the Sun and Mars are off-balance, so expect the unexpected regarding what you think your stable projects are. Again, Gemini and Scorpio are at odds, with Gemini prodding Scorpio to lighten up. Libra and Aquarius can help Gemini; Cancer and Pisces can help Scorpio. The Moon goes into Scorpio in the morning.

June 16: a mildly good day for everybody.

June 17: Venus goes into Cancer through July 12. Great month for Cancers. Your motherly and caring instincts are high and you want to care for others. Your love life should be good, with affection and gifts offered and received. Scorpio and Pisces enjoy a good month with love. Capricorn may have to choose between family and work. Taurus and Virgo have an opportunity for good romance and family time. Gemini and Leo are neutral. Aries and Libra are challenged by family or your loved one wanting your time and to be close. Sagittarius and Aquarius are uncomfortable and adjust to family demands and just may escape.

June 17: the Sun and Moon are off-balance, so part of your day may not go as expected and you adapt. Again, it is Scorpio and Gemini who are off balance.

June 18: a day with minor interruptions.

June 19: plans do not go as expected, and you need to accommodate the changes. Seems the financial reality of the project is presented, causing the adjustment.

June 20 is a a very busy astrological day, with three situations:

June 20: The full Moon in late degree of the signs of Sagittarius and Gemini. These two signs do not agree, with possible arguments, followed by Virgo and Pisces. Expect a restless day full of change. Aries and Leo can help Sagittarius; Libra and Aquarius helping Gemini. The areas of the body associated are the hips, thighs and blood; and the arms, hands and lungs. This full Moon is called the Strawberry Moon in the northern hemisphere and the Cold Moon in the Southern Hemisphere. Almost immediately after the exact time of the full Moon, at 07:02:16 am ET, the Moon goes into Capricorn.

June 20: Mercury challenges Saturn and pushes Neptune, which means challenging and testy communication, especially from Gemini to Sagittarius, which unsettles Virgo and Pisces. The contention is over detail, which Gemini does not like to do, but asks others to. Gemini may be challenging Pisces to be more precise, something Pisces is not. Libra can help Gemini to be more diplomatic and sooth Sagittarius. Scorpio can help steady Pisces. It may be best not to make decisions today.

June 20: again. First day of summer, with the Sun going into Cancer at 06:34:08 pm ET. Good month for Cancer to put projects into motion. Scorpio and Pisces enjoy a month of good emotions and family. Capricorn experiences this month as family taking preference over work. Taurus and Virgo have the opportunity for serene family relationships. Gemini and Leo are neutral. Sagittarius and Aquarius adjust or accommodate family. Aries and Libra are challenged by situations regarding family and emotions.

June 22: Moon goes into Aquarius, creating an emotionally iffy day. Aquarius and Cancer are not compatible today, and expect changes to the day.

June 23: communications are incomplete and changeable. Put off decisions. Gemini and Capricorn do not understand each other. The younger one is prodding the established one to make changes, to no avail.

June 24: Moon goes into Pisces.

June 25: very pleasant day for the water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Challenging day for Sagittarius and Pisces, who do not agree.

June 26: bigger, if practical, plans can go forward successfully. The practical details are accepted and put into action with the one in power. Great day for Virgo and Capricorn. Taurus effectively helps stabilize with good money advice.

June 26: However, communication is iffy again. The younger one who wants to present more of the idea is at odds with the money manager. The energy is practical and financially careful.

June 26: Another however, if the younger one, or Gemini, takes the opportunity to cooperate with the leader of the group, new ideas will be accepted. These are two situations. This one favors Gemini and Aries, meaning the young with new, innovative ideas. And...

June 26: romance is iffy. The one who is caring or loving could irritate the one who is either older or independent and seem to be rejected. They just want to be left alone, don’t take it personally. Difficult between Cancer and Sagittarius.

June 27: Moon goes into Aries. The iffy from yesterday is loving today; Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces enjoy a loving day. Quarter Moon in the signs of Aries and Cancer. The challenges today are from Aries, who likes to stir things up; with Cancer being stirred, followed by Libra and Capricorn. These signs enjoy challenges and experience a day full of changes, which is okay with them. Leo can help stabilize Aries (yes),Sagittarius offering Gemini an escape via a trip.  Scorpio can stabilize Cancer, with Pisces offering Cancer an escape, maybe a movie.

June 28: the Moon in Aries is busy today, stirring things in a mild, creative way.

June 29: Mars goes direct at 07:38:16 pm ET at 23 degrees Scorpio 03 minutes. Finally, any financial projects or investments that had been stalled go forward. If you have a 23 degree planet, your ascendent, midheaven or nodes in this degree, it will be activated. Mars will be in the sign of Scorpio until August 2. Scorpio should push projects. Cancer and Pisces enjoy harmonious project development. Taurus experiences opposition, especially financial. Virgo and Capricorn have the opportunity for successful practical projects and can help Taurus. Libra and Sagittarius are neutral. Gemini and Aries adjust to minor changes.
