Celestial forecast week of Dec 15

 

As this is written the Geminis are showering  the earth. Look East. Here is an animation of the shower. Overall duration of shower: November 19 to December 24. This time period is when we’re passing through the meteor stream in space! The article gives you detailed information along with the animation. They are called Geminids because they are opposite the Sun in astrological Sagittarius during their shower.

      Mercury goes direct Dec 15 – yay! Your communications go back to whatever normal is after today. printers will work smoothly again. that today is also the full Moon in the communication sign of Gemini, means today could be full of unexpected, seemingly inconsequential interruptions. If you accept this, today could be fun because of the variety of people and topics.

      Dec 15: The Full Cold Moon; among some tribes, the Full Long Nights Moon. In this month, the winter cold fastens its grip, and the nights are at their longest and darkest. Also sometimes called the Moon before Yule (Yule is Christmas, and this time the moon is only just before it; the next full moon that falls on Christmas Day will come in 2034). The term Long Night Moon is a doubly appropriate name because the midwinter night is indeed long, and the moon is above the horizon a long time. The midwinter full moon takes a high trajectory across the sky because it is opposite to the low sun.

      Dec 15: Full Moon with Sagittarius and Gemini, who may experience opposite points of view or spirited conversations, which they enjoy. If Virgo and Pisces are included, they do not enjoy it. The areas of the body associated with this full Moon are the hips, thighs, blood, hands arms and lungs. The Moon then goes into Cancer all by itself in the sky.

      Dec 16: calm day with no exact astrological relationships.

      Dec 17: see-saw quincunx day when things do not go as expected, asking you to accommodate interruptions or change, and when you do adjust, the day goes better. The signs are Cancer and Sagittarius who are supposed to not be compatible, but we are. Cancer would welcome Sagittarius’ unexpected visit and change their plans accordingly. However, a quincunx day is usually full of interruptions, so be prepared. Astrologically, Jupiter, Sagittarius’ patron planet is noble position in Cancer and, as a Cancer person, I love  Sagittarius’ adventurous spirit and join when I can. The Moon goes into Leo after 6 pm Eastern time, meaning your evening may be creatively fun.

      Dec 18: Today is either wonderfully creative or disappointing. Circumstances may cause cancellation of plans. A good day to escape into a good movie, the arts and music or dancing. Pisces and Sagittarius miss each other, with Virgo and Gemini also missing people or appointments. Aries and Leo can help Sagittarius, with Cancer and Scorpio helping Pisces.

      Dec 19: great day with friends or groups. A new technical invention may be announced and well received. Great day for the air signs of Gemini, Aquarius and Libra and for everyone.

      Dec 20: Sun and Moon getting along, meaning a nice day for everyone, especially for the fire signs of Sagittarius, Leo and Aries.

      Dec 21: Winter Solstice, first day of winter – already! The shortest day and longest night of the year. After today, the days get longer, meaning we have more sunshine. The winter solstice is one of the “four corners of the earth” the others being the Spring and Winter equinoxes and Summer Solstice. The Sun goes into Capricorn through January 19. This is the time for Capricorn to put their well-thought-out plans into action, challenging Aries, Cancer and Libra. Taurus and Virgo have a nice, practically productive month, with Scorpio and Pisces having opportunities to be  included in practical endeavors. Sagittarius and Aquarius are neutral, with Leo and Gemini adjusting to business or practical action. Read all about it here.

      Dec 22: Moon goes into gracious, diplomatic Libra, joining the South Node of the past. Expect people and situations from the past to return, to be celebrated or harmonized. Libra is the gracious cooperator, and with both Mercury and Mars retrograde, we may see a return to negotiations that had been abandoned. Also a quarter Moon in the signs of Libra and Capricorn, meaning a day of mildly challenging

      Dec 23: neutral day. Neutral days are good because nothing dramatic is happening. However, your forecast will be different.

The big international news is the fall of Assad in Syria, changing the government of Syria and the balance of power in the Mideast. USA. Last week we wrote that could see Social Security and/or Medicare financially secured. Congress is ready to pass the Social Security Fairness Act. This week sees good relations with allies and the current presidency, stability, and exact on Dec 22, signing of laws and agreements affecting the population or immigration, which may have some opposition. There may be new laws enacted to uphold law, order and security, and new ways or laws of protecting a sitting president. these celestial predictions are for the current administration because  the new one is not sworn in yet. We wait until January 20 to write about the new  administration. This will be covered in the January 4 Astrology Forum.
