Both Mercury and Mars Retrograde

As you  are aware, Mercury is retrograde until December 15, and some things are disrupted, especially travel, as seen on TV for the Lake Affect areas. The news showed thousands of flights delayed, and a big traffic pile-up in Michigan. This is only one of several that will be experienced during this Mercury retrograde time. It is a good time to avoid signing papers, making  agreements and purchasing electronics – and here it is Christmas buying time. Talking about gifts, the theft of packages left in front of doors has increased since last year. Mercury retrograde is called the trickster because it plays tricks on us, and the theft of packages is being done by people disguising themselves as delivery persons – a trick. But… if you have a retrograde Mercury in your natal or birth chart, this is a good time for you.

The big transit this week will be Mars going retrograde December 6 through February 23. Mars is the patron planet, or ruler of things mechanical, such as cars, trucks, airplanes and machines. Mars also symbolizes war, strife and the masculine. It could be that mechanical things that have not been maintained or well-designed malfunction now, the war situations change, especially with Mercury also retrograde, and relationships. If there is an underlying or undercurrent of restlessness or the man in the relationship is unhappy, that could surface during this Mars retrograde time to be talked about and harmonized. Mars also symbolizes initiative or to begin activities, and under Mars retrograde it is not a good time to begin unless you have a retrograde Mars in your natal or birth chart. Mars also represents the head, with a flurry of head injuries in the ER or headaches for the rest of us. This would be revealed in your personal horoscope or chart. Since Mars is in Leo, expect the price of gold and luxury items to change or go opposite the way they are going now.

It will be a busy week with Mars going retrograde Dec 6, Venus into Aquarius Dec 7 and Neptune going direct Dec 7.

Dec 1: New Moon in Sagittarius. the Sun, Moon and Mercury are in a minor lineup in Sagittarius. Ordinarily, a great day for Sagittarius to begin a new adventure but be cognizant of Mercury being retrograde. This is a strong opposition to Gemini and challenge to Virgo and Pisces, all of whom are the recipients of Sagittarius’ travel plans and impromptu actions. Aries and Leo can help Sagittarius, Libra and Aquarius can help Gemini, Taurus and Capricorn can help Virgo, and Cancer and Scorpio can help Pisces. Airline mistakes are again evident, with the mistakes because of shoddy details overlooked because of idealist ideas. News or communication challenged for truth with demands for details.

Dec 2: Moon goes into Capricorn, joining Venus, adding a little seriousness and common sense to the day. Financial, corporate or established entities’ and women’s situations calm down. Your loved one interested in security and the established way of being instead of adventure. Capricorn and Taurus in a good relationship, possibly including Virgo. Scorpio enjoys a quiet, orderly day, with Cancer mildly challenged.

Dec 3: The Moon goes into Capricorn, joining Venus. Attention goes to work or duty. Nice day for Capricorn and Taurus. Cancer mildly challenged by work or responsibility.

Dec 4: Moon goes into Aquarius joining Pluto. Also, a challenging travel situation of delays, although escape, romance  and beauty are nice.  Sagittarius and Pisces irritate each other and possibly Gemini and Virgo. Capricorn and Pisces have a nice opportunity to be together and possibly include Virgo, Taurus and Scorpio.

Dec 5:  a lot of travel or political communication which is nice for Sagittarius, Leo and Aries and challenges Gemini to spirited conversation. Pisces and Virgo irritated by either lateness or too much information. Aquarius, Gemini and Libra get along well and Aries quietly leads.

Dec 6: Mars goes retrograde until February 23 in the sign of Leo, the sign of luxury items and gold. Expect changes in direction about them.  See above for interpretation. Sun and Moon getting along, meaning a nice day for almost everyone, and especially for Aquarius and Sagittarius. Disappointing, incomplete and delayed news. Communication is also delayed, possibly because of glitches. Sagittarius and Pisces miss each other, with Gemini and Virgo irritated.

Dec 7: Venus goes into Aquarius through January 2. Romance is more friendly than clingy. Good time for friendly and scientific group  activities. However, Venus is conjunct or joined with Pluto, so your loved one and group foçi are intense and persistent. Aquarius is especially focused on a new project that they control or manage. Taurus, Scorpio and Leo experience control issues, Gemini and Libra help Aquarius diplomatically, Pisces and Capricorn are neutral, with Cancer and Virgo adjusting or accommodating the abstract. Aries and Sagittarius have the chance to join what to them is exciting groups and friends. However, Gemini and Sagittarius are opposite each other, meaning they may cooperate or oppose each other. Pisces and Virgo annoyed by all the fuss. There is conflicting news or communication, and remember that Mercury is retrograde, so be careful of hasty conclusions.

Dec 7 cont’d: Neptune goes direct at 27 degrees Pisces. what was hidden is seen now, especially regarding humanitarian activities, which  may go forward after having been stalled for some time. There is a mini-lineup of the Moon, Saturn, Neptune and out-of-sign North Node indicating a quiet leader activating the rescue efforts. These efforts urge Isreal to allow the humanitarian activities, which is an opportunity, which must be taken to happen. Pisces tries to inspire Taurus, but Taurus has to accept the inspiration to end the impasse.

Dec 8: Quarter or half Moon in the signs of Sagittarius and Pisces, who feel the challenge the most, followed by Virgo and Gemini. Aries and Leo may help Sagittarius, with Cancer and Scorpio helping Pisces.

Dec 9: Moon goes into Aries, joining the South Node and Chiron, adding courage to the new idea and may help the humanitarian situation by leadership. energy shifts to courage and creative activity after a few days of lethargy.

USA. December  2 the USA Progressed Moon goes into Aries, indicating a more assertive attitude and as the months proceed, challenges with allies and enemies and to the new president. This begins with the current administration and into the new one after January 20 for at least a year.
